My wife and I have worked with Butch and his team on three large projects at Lake Louisa - basement finishing, kitchen remodel and the outdoor dock and deck renovations. Butch is professional, easy to work with, listened to our goals for the projects. The work was completed on time and on budget and I would recommend Butch and his team to anyone.

Goodman B Duke GC Inc has truly been a pleasure to work with over the last two years. We have had Butch and his team complete both indoor and outdoor projects. They are respectful, timely and very reasonable in terms of costs. Butch's team has completed bathroom, kitchen, flooring, custom decking, and electrical to name a few projects. Additionally, Sara has done a wonderful job as project manager ensuring that all phases of multiple projects were proceeding as planned toward the anticipated completion date. I would highly recommend Butch, Sara and team.

Mr. Duke and his direct employees were very able and efficient in their work. I wish the same could be said for his subcontractors. The Granite countertops were badly installed and efforts to correct were futile. Also, I was dismayed to find plastic piping was used when the house had ALL copper previously. installed. Mr Duke tried to help in correcting this but to no avail. I recommend him but NOT his subcontractors.

Complete kitchen, bathroom & main living space remodel with two bedroom additions on Lake Anna. Butch and his crew turned our 640 sq foot "cabin" into an amazing 1,030 sq foot perfect weekend getaway. From start to finish they were respectful, helpful & very honest. He was always available to discuss progress, timelines & materials as needed and make changes when necessary. Very impressed how seamlessly they made the new & old house come together. I highly recommend Goodman B. Duke!

We hired Duke as a contractor this past December 2015 to repair a major leak in our roof. There was a brick chimney on our roof that has been slowly leaning over the years and a leak formed at the base where the flashing meets the shingles. We attempted repairs many times but the leak always came back and got worse as time went by. Duke brought a team of professionals together that removed the chimney (our fireplace has ventless logs and does not require a flue), sheathed roof where the chimney originally sat, added sister joists to the roofing joists to ensure there structural integrity and integrated roofing shingles to finish the job. The team did a professional job in a reasonable time, including the clean up. The leak is repaired and the roof looks great. I feel we received a good value for our $$$ and would use Duke for projects in the future. By the way, this is the 2nd project we hired Duke for. The 1st was installation of 2 windows.

Goodman B. Duke built front and back porches on our duplex, and made some interior modifications. They were professional and competent, and made some excellent suggestions--we couldn't be happier with the results. What's more, they did the interior modifications on very short notice, and finished ahead of our drop dead date. We highly recommend Goodman B. Duke General Contractor Inc.

Goodman B " Butch" Duke of Charlottesville, Va installed my Simple Pump a month ago. His son actually did the install along with one other fellow. They were all extremely professional, knowledgeable and polite.
