Is it possible to find a 5-star contractor? Well, I honestly thought that the answer was NO until I met Steve. I am a picky person with background in Architecture and Design. A lazy rushed contractor doesn't work for me. After so many frustrations and searches for the that perfect contractor, I randomly found Steve. Basically when I searched for a contractor to renovate my two nasty bathrooms and fix all the leaking problems that had happened for the past 18 years, I came up with a short list of contractors. I had met a few of them, but when I met Steve for a quick chat, I felt that was the guy! He seemed to be so proactive, technical, intelligent and clever. He was the person I wanted: I guy with good eyes for great finishing, respecting what the client wants and, the main thing, focusing on solving real problems and not just talking about pretty light fixtures. And I gladly hired him right away! My 2 bathrooms look so perfect! All the small details where carefully done and in the way I wanted. Always sharing the possible problems and solutions. Steve not only fixed all the plumbing, electrical and structural problems, but upgraded everything for high end quality service and products. And more... he not only beautifully renovated our bathroom, but figured out problems in my building that existed for at least the past 10 years! Steve became popular among my neighbors and everybody loved his presence in the building. Not only because he is a such a good professional guy that helped the neighbors, but because he was nice, pleasant and honest person that everybody was glad to see around. Yes, that's Steve. Some even said Steve felt like part of the family! He is also a very clean contractor. The reno happened while we were living in the condo. As he understand well how physics work, he knew exactly what to do to not spread dust to the rest of the areas like living room and bedrooms. Yup. Sounds impossible, but that happened. When he was producing dust, he always vacuumed everything at the end of the day. Steve had free access to my condo for several months and I fully trusted in him. He respected the time to come to our place and leave. Finally, the reno took longer than I thought, but at the end of the day, it is totally understandable when he works by himself always making sure that he is doing his best and also making sure I was happy with his work. I'd would rather a long reno with someone that I fully trust than 10 strangers doing whatever work to finish everything in a month, so 10 years later you have to deal with problems of a lazy rushed work. That is not an option for me at all. Not even if I was going to sell my place right after. I wish everybody thought the same way, but, I know, if they did, it would be hard to find a second Steve in this city. :) That's all. Steve, thanks for everything!

Steve at SKG Renovations did a kitchen remodel for our Vancouver condominium, plus installation of new flooring throughout the condo. I would enthusiastically recommend Steve for remodelling jobs. We had a decent concept of what we wanted to do, but hadn’t ever been through a remodel before and so didn’t always know exactly what we were doing. Steve was very helpful in suggesting ideas and guiding us through what and where to look for flooring and countertops. I can speak highly of the quality of Steve’s work and his attention to detail.

We hired SKG Renovations to do a full renovation of our Kitchen, including removal of a partial wall, and replacements of all cabinets, lighting, flooring and countertops. Steve provided us great guidance through the planning, and really helped us plan the layout and pick high quality parts and materials. He is happy to provide his opinions, but is open to suggestions and changes through the process. Steve has a very high attention to detail, and has very high standards of work. He was very clear and up front about costs, and will gave us many options throughout the renovation. We would happily work with SKG again in the future.

We required a repair on our bathroom as well as a renovation. After Steve from SKG renovations came into our home, evaluated the repair and renovation we hired him. We required an entire renovation from demo work to tile, plumbing, electrical work as well as painting and installation of fixtures and lights. Everything we required was completed by SKG renovations and Steve G. has a network of knowledge about the most up to date designs as well as websites to look at to get ideas and information. His estimate for the renovation was honest and without question very fair. There is no lack of professionalism with this company. This only carries on with the quality of work that was performed. The work was meticulous. We have recommended this company to everyone we know. We look forward to working with SKG renovations in the future.

Steve recently helped us to install a Maax shower enclosure as replacement of our old bath tub. We were very impressed by his professionalism and pleased with the final result. Steve is careful, conscientious, thorough and organized. He is good at communication and very experienced as well. He takes time to do a fine job and pays attention to all the details. We feel fortunate to find him to help us.

I hired Steve to replace my counter tops and the lighting in my kitchen. I love the look of my new kitchen. Not only was the work extremely we'll-done and in a timely manner, but he left my place cleaner then he found it. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.

Renovating a bathroom can be an intimidating, if not daunting task. We needed a new bathroom, and had only some vague ideas of what we were looking for. We really needed guidance. After browsing Houzz for bathroom design ideas, we stumbled across Steve. Impressed with his work and style, we met with him. We were immediately struck by his knowledge of products lines, design, industry best practice - and of his patience with all our questions. Throughout the whole process, he worked extremely hard and meticulously despite not ideal circumstances. (While work was under way, we moved in, and had a baby). I'll also add that he worked hard to keep the area clean - which was much appreciated. The end result is brilliant. He did a fantastic job on our bathroom, and achieved the modern spa look we were after. With three kids, this space has become our much treasured escape room to relax and rejuvenate. I would absolutely recommend Steve to everyone, and I hope to get him in again when it's time to redo the kitchen.

SKG Renovations did a renovation in my commercial office space and they exceeded my expectations! Steve is a consummate professional who has a high level of knowledge in all areas of renovation. He demands near perfection from his work and will not cut corners. As a result of his methodical manner, at times it may seem that Steve works a little slower than a layman would expect, but rest assure that his work is worth every minute, looks sharp, and will last a lifetime. Another important note is that Steve is very clean when he works and respectful of his surroundings; especially important if your renovation is in a functioning home or office.

Stephen was able to give us with our dream kitchen. His attention to detail and ability to look ahead at what the final picture would be was invaluable. We have used him in the past for a bathroom reno and will continue to use him for future projects. He does excellent work and went to great lengths to make sure we were happy with each step, change, and final result. I would highly recommend Stephen for anyone looking for superb quality work!!
