This family owned log cabin company is fantastic. Their Kiln dried logs are beautiful and are custom cut. They strive to make you happy and proud of your selections. From start to finish, they treat you like family not just a customer, Their has not been a time when they not have immediately responded to my questions . They will work with you on any changes and invite questions about the process. If you are lucky enough when you arrive in Wisconsin to make your selections and see the model home, you will also get to meet Zach, Jeff, Scott and Dala who will lead through the selection process. You never feel rushed, Your building plans are kept on computers so any issues you may have can quickly be resolved . This company has a stellar reputation for honesty, customer service and integrity which they have earned and deserve. I highly recommend Golden Eagle for your future cabin.

Hands down, the best in the business. From the moment we found Golden Eagle Log Homes, we were done looking at other companies. We were very particular with what we wanted in a log home and the staff helped us get everything we wanted. As a master carpenter, I wanted to add my own touch to the home and the multiple buying options, from a log shell to a full turnkey gave us the flexibility to both get all the options we wanted and put in our own amount of sweat equity. Working with Jeff Heeg has been a great experience from the beginning. From the first time I reached out, while being deployed to Iraq and starting this journey, to almost 10 years later when we were finally able to move forward and build our home, the team and owners at Golden Eagle have felt like family. I have recommended them to everyone who asks about our home and will do so for many years to come.

Building a new home is a first for us and Golden Eagle made the journey of designing, picking out materials and building our home a great experience. Everyone at Golden Eagle from Jeff in sales, Mike in design, Chris, Scott and Mike in customer service and shipping, Zach and Dala in selections to Lynn in payments along with all the others we had contact with were very professional and attentive to our needs throughout the process. I would also like to give a shout-out to Kurt Brown our local GE rep for giving us his experienced support on on-site expertise along the way. Golden Eagle was a dream to work with! From start to finish. We did tremendous research and decided on GE. Our sales rep Jon Wendt went above and beyond every day for us. There is no detail too small when GE is in charge of your dream house! We were afraid that we couldn't afford a log home but working with Jon he figured everything out from start to finish. We searched for the right log home builder to build our dream retirement home for two years before selecting Golden Eagle Log & Timber Homes (GELH). We met Jeff Heeg (Sales Advisor) at the Minneapolis Lake Home & Cabin Show and knew we met our log home builder. Jeff was a joy to talk with from the first discussion and his knowledge navigated us through the entire process. This was our first log home and Jeff patiently answered all our questions in a timely manner. We have been living in our GELH for the past five months and love the quality of the materials and workmanship. We worked with the Final Selections team (Zach and Dala) to pick the fixtures, doors, cabinets, etc. for our GELH future retirement home. These 2 were amazing. A normally overwhelming process was made easy and enjoyable! Both are very talented, knowledgeable, and courteous. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Our journey started by meeting Jeff Heeg at the Lake Home & Cabin Show in Madison, WI in January 2018. We were negotiating for an 80 acre wooded parcel near Norwalk WI that included a 25 acre pond. Among the exhibitors at the show, GE stood out because of the quality of workmanship and the ability to offer a turnkey building process. By May 2018, we had closed on the land, signed a contract with GE and found a general contractor who is very familiar with the GE product and process. The design process was challenging for our family of six (grandparents, son, daughter-in-law and two granddaughters), but made easier and fun by choosing most options at the GE headquarters near Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Your staff were very helpful by listening closely to our ideas and then making suggestions to accomplish our goals. The final floor plans were detailed and specific enough to guide all sub-contractors in their roles. One of the highlights of our cabin was the customized carving on the central beam, you offered as an option early in the design phase. We were able to work with the professional wood carver, who performed his art on the 10”x10” log before it was installed in the structure. Materials were delivered in a timely fashion. We had no major issues with the quality of the whole logs and other building supplies for our 1874 s.f. cabin, including a loft and a full drive-under basement. Our only issue was the delivery and installation of the wrong loft railing. GE replaced this railing and covered the extra cost of our general contractor’s labor. The Murphy family would highly recommend Jeff Heeg and Golden Eagle to other families considering a log or timber home. In both quality of workmanship and professionalism of staff, they are unsurpassed.

Kathleen and I started researching log & timber framed homes online, and independently found ourselves both looking hard at all the building options offered @ Golden Eagle. We were impressed with the wide variety offered, from timber framed homes to full log construction, with material packages right down to the kitchen sink. Despite being surrounded in NC by log home companies, we traveled to Wisconsin to meet the people of Golden Eagle, spending several days at their facility, and touring four different custom log/timber homes. Our original contact Jeff was instrumental in laying the groundwork for our visit, and once there, family members Jay and Zach spent the entire day with us at the custom log/timber home we hoped to build. The next day we learned about all aspects of the log building process, and met the entire Golden Eagle “family”. It was probably this group, across the board, made up of Parmeter family members and employees, that solidified our choice to make Golden Eagle the team to make our custom log/timber home a reality. We are now in the final stages of customizing our plans, and are excited about working with such an experienced and family oriented group of craftsmen.

My husband and I have lived in our Golden Eagle Log Home for 9 years, and we can't say enough good things about it. We would build again with Golden Eagle if this wasn't already our forever home. Zach was great at guiding us through the experience, and the folks at Golden Eagle were terrific to work with. We highly recommend working with Golden Eagle.

Zach from Golden Eagle worked with us and it had great insight as to the design of our project. The people there are all very friendly and what sold us and choosing Golden Eagle was the fact that they could package the majority of the project through their location without having to run to several outlets for suggestions.. There are some selections we need to make outside of Golden Eagle but minimal. They also seem to research the quality of the products they carry so you can depend upon them This was such a different approach that completely separates them from other builders we were looking at.. Highly recommend it if the above is important for you.
