Gotcha Covered of Frisco

This is a very honest review of Gotcha Covered Frisco. Rick, the owner, states on his “About Us” page on Houzz that his company can create any window treatment that his competitors cannot. Simply not true. Please see the Texas Better Business Bureau for a more detailed review written by me. I met owner Rick McGregor, in October 2019 and began working with him on my projects in April 2020.The best thing Rick has going for him is that he is friendly and likable, but these qualities are not enough to successfully complete projects.Throughout 2020, I observed that Rick lacked skills and attention to detail in dealing with window treatments and with people, and this is what led to a disastrous end.I saw that his attention to detail declined, and he seemed oblivious to this fact.I would point out flaws and problems, and he and his subcontractors always seemed surprised by my discoveries.Simply stated, things were not done correctly at the outset, requiring costly revisions for Rick and time-consuming delays for me of almost one year. The most astounding of all things is that at the end of our business affiliation, Rick blamed me for his problems.In April 2020, I ordered four window treatments from Rick: 1) Living Room - drapes with banding/leading edges and tiebacks with fluted fascia and traversing rod; 2) Kitchen nook - five Relaxed Roman shades; 3) Kitchen Nook Patio Door - cornice and roller shade 4) Master Bath - window treatment consisting of a large cornice and London Shade. I did not ask for window treatments to hang from stars in the sky; all of my projects were standard for any skilled drapery company, and Rick should have been able to deliver these effortlessly. LIVING ROOM: In June 2020 received drapes.The custom-made traversing rod and fascia rod do not match; my fascia rod is dark gold; Rick ordered my traversing rod in white which was a mistake, these two should be the same color for beauty and appeal. Also, he failed to deliver the matching tiebacks I had ordered. I finally received the tiebacks in February 2021, almost one year later. MASTER BATH: In JULY 2020, I ordered a large window cornice to reach the ceiling and London shade. Rick failed to measure correctly and ordered the wrong-sized cornice. Received the finished cornice and shade in MARCH 2021 with errors: swag on the London shade distorted; tear in the bottom trim/hem and unsewn hem on one side; the weight bar cover on back of the shade was torn; trim along the arch of the cornice crooked, & installed off-center.Pls see photos. He later fixed issues which took 8 months. KITCHEN NOOK:In April 2020, I ordered curved Relaxed Roman shades in my kitchen nook; instead, I received standard straight shades. I asked for a patio door cornice and roller shade in April of 2020 and didn't receive the shade until April 2021. I demanded a partial refund of $1250, to which he agreed. I do not recommend due to unprofessionalism, lack of skill & courtesy. Proceed with caution.

Rick was great to work with and had a great selection of products. It was almost overwhelming, there were so many great choices. In addition, he went the extra mile. Need temporary blinds? He's got them. Need to learn more about cordless wooden blinds? He's got you covered. Need everything installed quickly and professionally? He's on it. Basically, as soon as your custom order is received by Gotcha Covered, they're installing it with a few days (based on your schedule). I would highly recommend.

Gotcha Covered had a great selection of shades, blinds, and shutters. Their input was very helpful and their installer did a great job too. I highly recommend Rick McGregor and his company.

I would 100% recommend this company. From start to finish they were nothing but professional and helpful with every aspect. I look forward to working with them again.

Gotcha Covered of Frisco did a great job of providing our window treatments for our veterinary practice. They listened to our needs and educated us as to a product that was both great looking and also within our budget!! Highly recommend them for both home and business projects.

Rick, from Gotcha Covered was terrific to work with. Always informative, patient and clearly described our options for both our window coverings (shutters) and our electronic screens for the outdoor areas. His attention to details and changes that came up during the process were always handled professionally and quickly.

I definitely would use Gotcha Covered again. The Pricing was right and the Service was very good - including coming back to go over colors again. It was completed on-time and so far there have not been any issues.
