I worked with Great Spaces to renovate my master bathroom and I am really thankful I made that choice. I had limited space to work with and Dawn’s space planning skills offered several different options from which to choose. I admit to changing my mind on multiple decisions, but Dawn just went with the flow and reassured me to that I should get just what I wanted. The contractor was always in a good mood about it. Dawn took my inspiration tile and helped me make it the center of the design for my beautiful new bathroom. There were multiple choices to make along the way but the team at Great Spaces stepped in when I got overwhelmed. You would never know this was an age-in-place bathroom — the stunning result is beautiful. All my friends and neighbors love it as well.

Decent design. Very defensive. Says open to feedback, but argumentative with any critique. Took advantage of our patience with supply chain issues. Recommended unreliable contractor you had to chase. Wouldn’t use again.

I can't say enough good things about working with Dawn and her subcontractor Brian. Dawn was innovative and fun and gave lots of practical advice about design and layout without breaking the budget. Brian and his team were wonderful to have working at the house. Professional, efficient, realistic about timing, and never left messes. Always meeting or exceeding expectation. When there would be any hiccup, he never tried to cover up, but work to make it right, whether that meant extra work on his end or thinking of a solution on his own or in consultation with his team, and he enlisted opinions from myself or Dawn along the way to ensure the ideas we had were coming to life the way we wanted. Dawn would check in regularly with me as well as with Brian either coming by to the house, or just a text or phone call making sure I was happy with the service and the product and the work and making sure we were happy. She and Brian always stressed the importance of our satisfaction, and we were thrilled with the end result.

We used Great Spaces to design and remodel our kitchen and 2 baths. It was important for us to find a design and build company that could preserve the look and flow of our Craftsman/Deck house with an open floor plan,natural wood trim and exposed beams. The contractor also built decks for us and replaced trim for the house as well as additional subcontracted work. There was a lot of planning and detail in this big project that made it overwhelming as homeowners. Dawn Willis and her team were phenomenal. She intuitively understood our aesthetics and style and was able to quickly identify choices that matched our interests. This made the somewhat infinite decisions manageable. She worked with us to develop and stick to our budget and was helpful to identify cheaper alternatives to certain details without sacrificing quality and style. The build process went smoothly and Dawn was quick to solve any problems or issues as they arose. We couldn't be happier with the outcome. Our house looks fantastic! I highly recommend the services of Great Spaces.

Dawn and her crew did an amazing job taking my sad, dark, 1979 kitchen to a bright, beautiful, functional room that we love to have as the heart of our home. We couldn't be happier with the project from start to finish. Everyone who came into my house was knowledgeable and respectful, and took the time to make sure the job was done to our satisfaction. I loved working with Dawn for our kitchen renovation, and I would highly recommend her. She has a natural talent for design, and all of her advice regarding the aesthetics was excellent. Not only does she have a good eye for design, but she also has a deep knowledge of the structural aspect of renovations which was extremely helpful. She guided us through decisions on all of the large and small details, while maintaining an efficient, responsive and organized working style.

A pleasure working with Dawn and her staff. She had great ideas and was welcoming to ours. Was a big help with picking out materials, offering a wide price range. Work was done in a timely fashion. She was on top of the schedule the entire time and she addressed and resolved any problems that came up quickly and to our satisfaction. A year later, she remains easy to contact should we need. We love our new bathroom!

When we decided to have our kitchen remodeled this past summer, we took the advice of two of our neighbors and contacted Dawn Willis at Great Spaces to help with the design. We originally thought we knew what we wanted and hesitated to call her thinking that we could handle the process ourselves. After working with her a short time, it was clear that her help would result in a far better kitchen product than if we had left the design to ourselves. In addition to her overall design work, there were three specific times when we could not decide what we wanted to do with a specific important aspect of the design. All three times, after spending an hour discussing the subject with her, we came away with a clear picture of what we wanted. Dawn Willis's CAD work was instrumental in helping us visualize both an overall concept as well as a specific floor plan. She was able to show us several options that would not have been as clear to us simply just talking about them. The plan she helped design became a reality and we are very happy with the results. Some of the many things we like about our new kitchen follow: •the overall design; •the quality of the cabinets; •the location of all the cabinets; •the design and location of the island; •the internal design and location of the pantry cabinet; •the additional 3” of height of the wall cabinets; •the spice drawer; •the double waste and recycling unit; •the spring-loaded mixer unit; •the base and wall cabinets between the incoming door and stairway we use for mail/phone/radio/miscellaneous things to keep out of sight; •the appliance garage; •the recessed bottoms of the wall cabinets which conceal the LED lighting; •the extended countertop by the back deck door; •the island with its eating area; and •the exact spacing on each side of the cabinets which provide equal spaces to windows and moldings. Additionally, we are pleased with such things as: •the additional electrical outlets and their placements; •the location of the LED lights; •the location of switches for both interior and exterior lighting; •the spacious double kitchen sink; •the movement activated kitchen faucet; •the two-tone color of the walls; •the placement of the new outside door to the deck replacing a window; •the Armstrong tiles which are easy on the feet/knees and much warmer than ceramic tile; and •the quartz countertops (although we would have liked just a little more design). It is obvious that there is a lot we like about our new kitchen. Much of that credit goes to Dawn Willis for her personal and expertise service. Dawn and her team at Great Spaces were wonderful to work with. Dawn has a great combination of engineering and design work in her background and was able to zone in on our specific needs and style specifications to make our small master bathroom efficient and beautiful. She also helped us spruce up two other bathrooms and a laundry room and they all look beautiful. Every contractor Dawn hired for work in our home was easy to have around and we never worried about leaving them alone in the house. Building projects are never without some snafus and ours was a longer than expected timeline and a price tag that came in a bit higher than the original scope of work outlined by Great Spaces. These are our cons. Other than this, no negatives and we would choose to work with Great Spaces again in the future (perhaps for a kitchen renovation). With this said we may keep a closer eye on the costs at that time.

We hired Great Spaces to renovate our kitchen. Dawn and her team were dedicated, trustworthy and worked hard to ensure we were completely satisfied with the end result. Her contractors were equally dedicated and skilled, always taking the time to explain the why behind the what. A project of this scope was long and complex, but we are now blessed with the kitchen of our dreams--not insignificant for a foodie. I understand that the business is growing, and we wish them all the best.

Our project included a new kitchen, full renovation of three baths and a walk-in closet. Great Spaces did a terrific job. While I am an architect, I don't specialize in residential work. Dawn's skill in planning, budgeting and offering options for finishes, fixtures and appliances made our project what we had envisioned. Professional, very attentive, good communication and coordination with our contractor. Dawn stays involved throughout construction and installation and stands behind her work. Would definitely recommend her.

Dawn assisted us in a redesign of our kitchen using the existing cabinetry. The finished result is stunning. We love our new kitchen which has all the "bells and whistles" I wanted plus some wonderful features that Dawn suggested which I had not even thought of. Thank you Dawn!
