Bryan is creative and easy to work with. Once the design was completed, the hard part began because there are so many vendors to choose from to implement the design. I felt comfortable working with Bryan and he worked with me at every step as we made minor changes along the way to perfect our back yard. It turned out perfect with a very high level of quality at a very fair price. In the end I felt lucky that I chose the right firm and designer for our application. I would highly recommend Bryan.

We loved working with Ground Affects and most especially Bryan Clark. He was always professional, on time, and stayed within our budget. He never over promised, but always over delivered. He listens and always asks good questions, so that when your job is designed, it reflects what you wanted, not what he thinks you wanted. Ground Affects installed formal gardens and pathways enhancing an existing water feature and a three season gazebo, refurbished existing gardens and installed a back patio with pavers. When all was said and done, we were asked to feature our yard in a garden tour .. it was that well done! Spring has now become my favorite time of year ... watching our gardens come to life!

I was introduced to Ground Affects Landscaping by friends in 2012 and will be forever grateful for the connection. Landscape architect Bryan Clark surveyed my property and listened to my vision. His extensive knowledge of plant materials and landscaping options were evident as we talked. Within weeks, he created a phased plan that was tailored exclusively for my lifestyle, budget and timeline. Phase 1 in 2013 included major plantings along one side of the property and a beautiful stone retaining wall along my driveway. Path lighting and dramatic up lighting illuminated planting beds, mature trees and my favorite sculptures. Their team of experts were friendly, professional, knowledgeable and took time to answer any and all of my questions. Phase 2 in 2014 included a patio with major retaining walls, planting beds and lighting. In two weeks time, the front of my home gained a spectacular outdoor entertaining space, beautiful plantings and breathtaking lighting. The view of my home from the lake went from ordinary to GRAND! The crew was always kind and respectful and available to answer my questions along the way. They were a delight to have here every day. Their masonry skills were incredible and I found myself watching their work for hours on end. It takes knowledge, experience and creativity to work around the existing structures of a home, but they did it with ease, adapting the plan as work progressed. I am so looking forward to enjoying the space with family and friends this year! Phase 3 this year will include beautifying a few more areas and developing a planting area that will serve as a sanctuary for the wildlife that is so plentiful in my yard. Tom and the Ground Affects team were great! We have used them for our landscaping needs in the past and have been very happy. This time they worked on our very sad lakeside lot. Terraces, walls, steps and plantings were done perfectly! Tom worked diligently with the DNR and county on all plans and their requirements for revisions. Our lot is very steep to the lake and he had to coordinate bringing the materials and equipment in on a barge. Needless to say, this whole project was extremely difficult. Our "after picture" is so much more than 100 times better then our "before picture." I have been and will be recommending Ground Affects Landscaping to anyone I know who needs work done.
