Ronald was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. He organized the project from the beginning, helped us through the planning process, helped us throughout as we made various changed to it, gave us accurate assessments of the pros and cons of various alternatives, treated our remodel as though it were his own, and was always available to talk through issues. He and the crew were always timely, optimistic, and helpful. There is no one else that we would engage to build or remodel a home.

Honestly, we'd trust Philip and Hainline construction with our lives. His level of professionalism and integrity is extremely rare these days. Building a home can be incredibly stressful but we never had to worry about anything on his end. Some of our favorite features of our home include: - Attention to detail: We used so many different materials throughout the home (stone, tile, hardwood, etc) and they transition together seamlessly. Each room flows beautifully into the next. - Craftsmanship: Our home features timber framing, arched doorways, a custom curved hood vent, and vintage mortised door locks. The skill of the Hainline crew is unparalleled. - Efficiency: Our architect designed our home to very strict energy efficiency parameters. Philip and Hainline nailed the specs and now we stay comfortable in even the harshest weather. Simply enough, we wouldn't have our dream home without Hainline construction. This is our forever home so we don't plan to build again. But if we did, we'd work with Philip every time.

After moving to Trout Lake approximately one year ago, we purchased land with plans to build a unique, modern cabin. We reached out to several builders but we were impressed by the exceptional customer service offered by Ronald and Philip. Overall, the entire process (from the extensive planning phase to receiving the certificate of occupancy) was very efficient and took approximately 10 months. Although small, our cabin has unique and complex features that required problem solving and precision. Ronald ensured seamless progress and addressed any questions we had or changes we requested promptly. His attention to detail and quality was unmatched and we appreciated the weekly check in meetings on site. Ronald and his team always cleaned up after a work day (not that we expected them to but it was nice to walk in to a clean construction zone). Importantly, Ronald and team stuck to the agreed upon budget 100%, which is a testament to preparation and planning. Additionally, all team members are respected members of the community with high integrity. Overall we highly recommend Ronald and the Hainline team and hope to collaborate with them again should we build a larger home on our property in the future.

Philip and his team of building professionals were AWESOME from start to finish. Philip communicated timely on progress and possible delays. Our architecture firm worked with Philip and his stellar crew on a new house in White Salmon, Washington. The process, from start to finish, was streamlined and efficient, with the added dose of friendly good humor. Our design was not straightforward construction -- there was steel framing surrounding expansive window walls, corten siding, solar panels, and included details such as a patinated copper front door. Hainline Construction was up to the task and more. I would highly recommend Philip and his crew!

When you're about to start a house build, you're not just dealing with the financial and logistical implications - you're also committing to long-term working relationships with all of the people involved in actually building your house. Having had bad experiences with contractors in the past, my wife and I put more focus on interviewing builders upfront, weighing both the reputation of the builder and our impressions after speaking with them about our project. Philip Hainline came out as the clear front runner for us during this process. Not only does he have a lot of very satisfied customers around the gorge, but he also treated us with respect, and gave us honest assessments and estimates from the get-go. As our house construction got underway, we were impressed by Philip’s ability to relay important information to us in a timely manner. This included how material pricing was fluctuating and how we could mitigate it, as well as how weather would affect the timing of different phases of the build. During our project, Philip used a website called Buildertrend to upload images of build progress and upload any documents we needed such as change orders. This was very helpful to us as we were living about an hour away from our new property. But it’s also important to remember that you’re hiring more than just the GC - you’re also, by extension, hiring all of the subcontractors they work with. And overall, we were extremely happy with the crew that Philip entrusted with building us a beautiful home. Some highlights for us were the concrete pouring, plumbing, woodworking, tiling, and flooring. With the woodworking in particular, we were really impressed with the thoughtfulness put into details such as the joinery and the custom staircase. We’re well aware that we were fairly detail-oriented clients, giving a lot of feedback and suggestions during the construction process. Philip was very understanding and empathetic with all of this - it felt like a very collaborative experience with both Philip and his crew, with everyone being eager to create the best house possible. The end result is a truly amazing home that was built start-to-finish within the estimated timeframe, which we truly cannot comprehend. And all of this for a price that was close to Philip’s initial estimate (with the exception of choices we made along the way that we knew would increase cost). It’s not often that we hire a contractor for a small project that we would then emphatically recommend to others, much less a contractor for a project as big as building a house. But this is one of the easiest recommendations we could ever make. If you want to build a beautiful house and have the best experience along the way, hire Hainline Construction - it’s as simple as that.

Phil and his crew at Hainline Construction recently completed a two car garage for us. Phil assisted us with our initial design ideas and provided very practical recommendations that fit with materials supply and construction. Phil is super easy to communicate with and we were always aware of his crew's, as well as the sub-contractor's, schedules. All of Hainline's crew members are super knowledgeable in all aspects of construction and have an amazing work ethic. Never once did we wonder "Where is Phil's crew today" ? Three years ago my wife Tami and I decided we needed to downsize our home from the 14 acre log framed house above the Gorge which we loved. We had visions of a cozy cabin with weathered timber a large kitchen and cozy intimate living room. Philip came to us as a recommendation by our real estate broker. It couldn't have worked out better! The project took three years from inception with a few hitches along the way - including a redesign, the pandemic and all the supply side disruptions. Philip was patient and extremely helpful along the way! Once we broke ground, Philip's crew was amazing. Each and every individual showed a passion for what they were doing and always put the customer first. Along the way, several modifications from the plan were needed. Philip and his crew were collaborative and always working towards achieving the customers vision. These guys rocked! Philip was equally attentive with project management and always anticipated supply issues to keep things on track along the way. Good communications, honesty and giving the customer what they envisioned were always his priority. During construction, we added back several elements to the project which were eliminated because of early price increases. This was only possible only because Philip came through with cost savings on materials through carefully monitoring the markets and anticipating price fluctuations. As an example, he advised that we pre-purchase our joists because a 30% price increase 5 months before construction. In the mean while he stored them in his driveway - amazing!!
