It was a pleasure working with Michael from conceptual design through working drawings. We stayed on schedule and were able to submit our drawings for permit review on time. We have really enjoyed working with Michael Bade through the design and construction of our home. (EST. 12/21) He listened carefully to our design parameters and worked to incorporate our wishes instead of trying to talk us out of them. He promised not to design something that could not be built. This may sound absurd, but we worked with another architect who did just that. Michael has proven himself to be competent, efficient, insightful, and just a nice guy. Although we only met with him a couple of times in person (Covid-19), his sense of caring even came through the Zoom platform. We are thankful for our relationship with him and the great design he created for us.

I bought an old shack on the Gulf of Mexico on Anna Maria Island and played with some designs, on my own. I needed professional help, and interviewed multiple designers and architects. Michael took my conceptual drawing and turned it into a design. Before hiring him, I spent weeks trying to figure out the best way to lay out a floor, or place a stairway, or something like that. Michael proved himself - he had two to three options in front of me in hours or days. At that point I just turned the whole project over to him, told him to erase anything he wanted and just go to town. Carte Blanche. The final design is quite amazing, and we're working with builders now to get it constructed. It'll be unique, incorporating some features that cookie-cutter designs might miss. Michael took our ideas and made them real. Michael was instrumental in getting the house design through local and Florida DEP permitting. It would not have happened without him. If I had to do this over (and I have another project in the future), I'd just hire Michael to manage the whole design process, and to make sure the builder gets the permitting correct. Do yourself a favor, and do the same.

Our experience with Michael Bade and his team has been incredible. We worked with him to design a 8500sqft house (under roof) that really fit our lifestyle. Initially we were skeptical that we needed to wait 3 months to work with him, but in the end we are so glad that we made this leap of faith. Having spoke with many different draftsmen and architects and learned about this processes, I wholeheartedly recommend Michael.

Michael Bade created something special for us. He was attentive to our wishes, but not afraid to speak his mind. His design shows a sensitivity for the environment that it will become a part of. In short, he is well skilled at his craft. Our initial design phase was done during the Covid 19 lock down. Even though we had only one 'in person' meeting, we were entirely comfortable with our choice of the person who would design our final project. Michael has come up with a design that can meet the unique needs of a disabled person with adaptations that do not read as such. His work has produced a home that we know we will love.

I would definitely recommend Michael for your project. He took our vision and designed the perfect house for the site. He welcomes owner input while keeping a practical approach to the job. We are already planning our second project with him.

We met Mike Bade the first time at our lot and felt right away as friends. He was well prepared and organized. Mike was willing to take his time on short notice to change floor plans on his Computer with us as our stay in Florida was of limited time. We had to lean on Mike a lot for different processes as we are absentee clients - and he always delivered! Putting our dream home to come from the floor plans into a 3D model was awesome, he made it possible to walk through the house! Perfect! And a lot of details could be brought to a perfection because of the 3D Computer model. Mike was also very helpful with recommendations on products, contractors and firms.
