About Us

We manufacture custom resin surfacing. Luminexa can be used for countertops, bar tops, vertical panels, furniture inserts, lamp bases, wall cladding, shower doors, water features, and more. Luminexa is durable, functional art. We embed an almost endless variety of materials---minerals, fabrics, papers, glass, wallpapers, metal shavings, botanicals such as coffee beans, bamboo, nuts, and more. Can be transparent, translucent, or opaque. May be backlit. May be shop-produced or possibly onsite for large seamless applications. May assist in attainment of LEED points by incorporating recycled materials such as glass or machine shop shavings. Scratch-resistant top layer. Non-porous, so it is naturally anti-microbial. I have known Kathy since 2007 when I was an intern. We have worked together on a couple of hospitality and residential projects. She never ceases to amaze me with her creativity. The ideas she comes up with are genius. It is always a treat to come to her studio to see her in action while working on one of your projects. Kathy custom designed an amazing countertop for a master bath remodel. After seeing my color scheme and helping me narrow a design approach she worked with my cabinet builder to perfect the fit. She painstakingly hand dipped/colored all the stones that appear to float under the surface. It is the most beautiful part of my remodel.

If you can dream a special counter top - Luminexa can do it!!! They have created wonderfully, unique tops for my clients in ways of marbles, metal shavings, mica, & bamboo pieces that they have emerged into resin. This amazing company can do anything with such finesse.

Commented: Can this be made into a pocket door?Great question! Yes, it could. Please call me at 214/441-2108 if you would like to discuss it. You would need probably at least 1-1/2" clearance to make it work, and probably more.
