Across Ottawa staged our home this past spring. It was a fantastic experience. Their suggestions were cost efficient and resulted in an up to date take on the home we fell in love with so many years ago! They were professional and honest. Our home sold quickly and at a price we were very happy with. Of course, we were so happy with the outcome that we have hired them to help us set up our new home! I would highly recommend the Across Ottawa team.

Allison and her team did a wonderful job staging my home. She listened to what my needs were and reassured me that all would present well. There was very little time to stage the place (as I had decided to stage the house just before it was listed) and she was able to devise a plan and gather everything (furniture, accessories, and movers) together in a matter of a couple days! She was professional and friendly. Her crew set up the house without causing any damage. The house was tastefully staged and showed well and sold much faster than it would have had I not had it staged.
I felt that Allison not only staged my home attractively and appealingly, but had a lovely personality and made an effort to get to know me and not treat me just as a client. Overall, it was a very positive experience and I would recommend her to anyone.

Across Ottawa staged our home in a style that perfectly complimented our Scandinavian Modern home. Everything was tasteful, and helped the house itself really shine in the photos and walkthroughs. It's not surprising that we had a solid offer the day after our listing went live, and sold the house before the week was out. Allison and Across Ottawa were flexible and helpful setting up and removing the staging furniture to suit our sometimes complicated repair and open house schedule, and took great care with our home, keeping the floors and walls spotless – once finished it was like they were never there. Allison was highly recommended by our real estate agent. Her exceptional staging talent has certainly contributed to the quick sale of our home and over asking price. All visitors commented on how the house showed so well. Allison was great to work with - she is an accomplished designer who made excellent recommendations and listened to our input. Since my partner and I were travelling, her team packed the superfluous items and she made all the arrangements to store the large items in a storage unit.

Allison and her team are fabulous to work with and the quality of their work is exceptional. Our house showcased beautifully! Fantastic job staging our condo. It looked great, and the feedback we were receiving from showings got remarkably better after the staging. We had been on the market for several months, but sold after only a few weeks with our unit staged by Across Ottawa!

Allison and her team are the best! I decided at the last minute to have my house staged for our upcoming sale. Sent a note to Allison and voila, I heard from her on the same day. Of course, because it was last minute, the staging had to be done quickly and sure enough Allison responded just a quickly to this request. In less than a week, Allison visited our house, set up the date/time, ordered furniture and set her team to work.
All in all, the whole process was easy, fast, stress free and better yet, extremely enjoyable. The staging was so professionally done. Stephanie and Sue zoomed in on staging day, set things up in no time. All we had to do was come home to a beautifully staged house. And best yet, we're sure that the staging contributed to a rapid sale at an offer well over the listing price.

I am a real estate agent based out of the GTA & I needed a stager for one of my listings that happened to be in Ottawa. I came across Allison's instagram & Houzz page & instantly knew that I wanted her to stage my listing. She was beyond accommodating especially on such short notice. de-cluttering, decorating and explained how it should be staged.
Their team was quick at completing the staging work that included making use of a mix of existing furnishings as well as bringing in a
variety of contemporary accessories, artwork etc. Every room received little touches that made it look like it was featured in a magazine.

Our real estate agent recommended that we stage our home for sale. We agreed to do so; this involved both a lot of work and considerable costs, especially because Allison recommended that we paint several rooms in the house, including the kitchen, and also ship some of our furniture to storage. Allison and her team were very professional, reliable and helpful through our entire staging process. I was introduced to Allison and her very professional team in October 2019 when I listed my home for sale.
I was impressed with her team’s sense of urgency, skilled professionalism and quick access to furniture and accessories tailored to blend in seamlessly and specifically with my home. Although I have moved numerous times and felt I knew how to best present my home, I was so impressed with Allison’s ideas and recommendations. My home sold very quickly. I wish I had hired her team before I had decided to sell, as I didn’t want to move once the home was ready for market! I would highly recommend Allison and her team!

I was reluctant to stage the house prior to selling it, as it was in great shape clean and fully renovated. Clearly a couple rooms were difficult to determine the layout, and the agent suggested we call Allison to stage it properly. I was reluctant at first, not so much from a cost perspective, as the cost is such a small part of the overall sale value, it was more time, as we were being inundated by COVID 19 news and I needed to sell it fast. Allison staged it in a day, it looked unbelievable and it sold in less than one day and over offer. I have no doubt her interior finish was instrumental in the sale, in this case it was the best investment I've made. I have worked with designers overseas, and she is as good or better than they are. Thank you Allison, you have great vision.

Allison did a complete transformation on our house. Compliments during the open house were extremely positive; many people saying they came because of the photos.
When she incorporated our artwork into her design she moved every piece to a new, much better location making me ask myself "why didn't we hire her as an interior designer?"

Terminated them after 3 months. Wanted over $600 a month to rent a bed, two bedroom tables, 4 lamps, and a few unframed pictures. They took out 2 solid leather media chairs in media room and put bed in room. People were commenting that it was weird. Was it a media room or a bedroom. Condo is modern in decor. Stager supplied silver bedside tables and lamps that were 80’s style.
We have Brazilian Tigerwood throughout condo and they scratched living room floors when taking wall unit out. No offer to repair.
Our real estate agent was happy when we put back our furniture.
Never again.

So to touch on a few things, when we stage a property, it is very important that rooms be showcased as their original function. In your case, we new it was important to you to keep the media unit in the 2nd bedroom since it was previously your Den. We did this to accommodate you while you resided in the unit. It wouldn't have been our preference, but we do make exceptions for clients needs, after all it is your home. Regarding the rental fee, you were listed in the luxury market at over $1M, so we installed original artwork to portray that richness to potential buyers. This absolutely contributed to the overall higher rental fee. We are so sorry you feel you had a negative experience. We wish you all the very best and hope that by now your condo has sold.

I chose Allison after phoning a few staging companies and getting return calls. She was wonderful on the phone and you could tell she really wanted to understand my needs and goals. When I met her in person, I fell apart because the house was my sister's who had passed away and I was responsible for selling it. Allison was amazing with dealing with my feelings and budget and took charge so I didn't have to make difficult decisions. Allison and the 'girls' as she calls them, Stephanie and Sonia, recently staged my house for sale.... and the results? AMAZING! My townhouse definitely looks incredible and I am very hopeful it will sell quickly. (UPDATE: I had an offer in TWO days! and the sale was completed in one week - amazing!)
Stephanie and Sonia paid meticulous attention to detail and showed their creativity using many of the things I already had to give every room a fresh new look.
From Allison's first visit for a walk through to her fast response to emails to Stephanie and Sonia's work on the actual staging day, I was very impressed with every aspect of Across Ottawa Home Staging.
