About Us

Precision, Detail, Artistry and Respect are among the words others use to describe the work of Timber Frame Homes. Homestead Timber Frames builds quality Timber Frame Structures. We are not a turnkey contractor and we do not do any conventional building. Our philosophy is to do what we are good at so we stick to timber framing. We (Bruce and Cyndy) built our first timber frame on our farm in 1985. Enthralled with the architectural possibilities, structural integrity, and sheer beauty of the home we created with that first timber frame, we resolved to found a timber framing company and bring our budding skill and knowledge to others. Over the course of a working lifetime more than 200 timber frame projects have now been designed and built. We design and build hand crafted timber frame homes (including outdoor living spaces) that envelope our clients in a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere, freeing them to explore their own creative endeavors. My husband and I had long dreamed of having a timber frame structure. I started looking for companies online. I found Homestead and called for an appointment. From the very first meeting, I knew we had found the right people. They took my plan sketched out on graph paper along with some barn pictures from Pinterest, and made our dream come true! The craftsmanship and joinery are beautiful. It's like a huge piece of fine art sitting in our field. Thank you to the whole team at Homestead. I highly recommend Homestead Timber Frames!
