My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Palm Beach County's Highest Quality Remodeling & Contracting Firm
Founded in 1954, when Fort Lauderdale was no more than a Mecca for tourists, “Howard Torn General Contractor” established a name within the construction industry. Specializing in speculative building, tract building and custom building, our construction projects have been a part of the tremendous growth that has taken place throughout South Florida for over the last 50 years. In 1983, as a result of that growth, Spiro Telegadis and Charles Mishner brought their varied talents to the team, and Howard Torn General Contractor became Howard Torn Construction Associates. In August of 1999, Howard Torn and Spiro Telegadis retired from the firm, leaving Charles Mishner as the current President and owner of the Company. Charles was mentored by two of the best construction professionals in South Florida, and as a result, the company’s legacy for refined, detail-oriented, quality construction lives on and is as successful as ever. More recently, our services have expanded beyond our previous horizons to include: multimillion dollar commercial-residential conversions, and large scale retrofitting projects, as well as, a variety of other services ranging from expert witness testimony to construction consulting and management. We look forward to what the future has in store as we continue to provide Florida with superior construction related service in all aspects of the industry.

I had many experiences having homes built for me in the past including several major home renovation projects and I can honestly say without hesitation or reservation that having Howard Torn Construction build my most recent home was by far my best experience in building a high quality home with all the bells and whistles. There were no shortcuts taken and it was built with the highest quality workmanship and materials. Charlie and Michael Mishner personally supervised every aspect of the project on a daily basis right down to the minutest detail. They both have been very receptive and responsive all throughout the project including after the final payment was made. There were no surprises, no disagreements and no misunderstandings which is very unusual for a project such as this....this home was built on time and on budget. Kudos to the Mishners!

Charlie and his son Micheal and their staff bring a level of professionalism and experience that clients can trust. They make sure all of the details are thoroughly explained and understood by everyone involved in the project. Their hands on approach sets them apart from other contractors. They have a passion for excellence, and provide the best service and the best finished product. The most comforting thing is that they are always there should a question come up and they have resolved any issue ( be they small) to complete satisfaction.

Charlie, Mike and their team were great. From the design to completion they were available to us and met with us every step of the way. They go out of their way to not only answer calls but return them. My husband and I cannot say enough about how amazing our project turned out. I think that the end result was remarkable and we love it but Charlie and Mike are so professional and they go beyond the extra mile! That is what made our result so much better. There is not a 10 star rating so 5 works! You could not choose a better company for your building or remodeling needs. ( I will add photos soon, you'll have to see it to believe it)
