We have been thrilled to collaborate with HQ Architects on numerous builds through the years. The level of detail they provide in their plans and scopes of work is amongst the most thorough and well thought out that we have worked with. The team atmosphere and collaboration they perpetuate is critical to us as the builder and more importantly to the customer. We are an interior design firm based in Denver, Colorado, and have worked very closely with Anne and Alison. They are EXCEPTIONAL! It was so fun and easy to professionally collaborate, with our design / finishing style working so perfectly with their interior and exterior architectural artistry. Alison and Anne did a fantastic job helping us design the remodel of our kitchen and surrounding rooms on the first floor. We could not recommend them more. They helped us navigate challenging space and structural limitations, tease out our top priorities, and were instrumental in turning our vision into a reality. They took the time to listen carefully to what we wanted and our concerns, and that showed up in not only the drafting process but also when it came time to solve the many problems that came up along the way. We really loved that they gave us two sets of designs: (1) a design that reflected what we said we initially wanted, and (2) a design that pushed the boundaries of feasibility. The 2nd design really allowed us to see what was possible in the space beyond what was immediately obvious, and we ended up using elements of both in our final design set. We were also so impressed with their knowledge of permitting regulations and design standards and came to rely on them as a way to verify our own assumptions or information from our builder. Aside from their talents as architects, we also just loved spending time with Anne and Alison! They were fun, and made us feel at ease in what can otherwise be an overwhelming and stressful process. Anne & Alison knocked it out of the park with our pop top, taking us from 3 bed/2 bath to 5/4. They were professional, FUN, easy to work with, communicative, and gave us several layout options, all of which we loved. Our house is a literal dream and I can't recommend a team of WOMEN enough to design the layout of your house. Sorry, boys, but they think of things you never would. ;)

Amazing. Alison & Anne worked closely with us and our contractor to expand our 1930s Denver bungalow and make it our "forever house." They are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and fun to work with. They listened closely to our needs and approached any constraints (whether they came from the city, nature of the space, or our needs) as problem-solving opportunities. We learned a lot and enjoyed each step of the process. A+++ would recommend to anyone considering a home design/development project.

We hired Anne and Alison to design our home in the Crestmoor neighborhood of Denver. They have extensive experience designing in this area and were well-versed in navigating the HOA, an incredibly helpful skill for our project! They have an incredible attention to detail and work very professionally and efficiently. They also assisted very closely with the review and permitting process at the City as we had a few tricky issues arise concerning the lot set up. While our design is fairly traditional (per our preferences), HQ offered many creative and modern solutions to layouts to accommodate the needs of our large family. We would recommend them for your custom home project or renovation and enjoyed working with them as well as the end result!

We hired Anne and Alison to design a custom urban home in Washington Park to fit our large family of 6. They took care to understand our unique needs, and came up with ideas that made our home run efficiently, particularly in our busy kitchen and laundry areas. You can't beat the uniqueness and style they add to the homes they design. It's important to hire architects that are familiar with building in the city since the rules change all the time and errors in understanding the code will set your project back. They've had plenty of experience building in the Denver metro area, so you would be in good hands!

Best architects in Denver! We hired Anne and Alison after receiving designs and bids from other architects who struggled with our complicated three phase renovation. They are very talented architects who worked with us throughout the entire renovation process, treating our project as if it was their own home. Both Anne and Alison were professional, reliable and intimately familiar with building codes and permitting for the City of Denver. Most importantly they were able to design a space that included everything on our wish list.

My husband and I were looking to build a traditional style home with a contemporary layout in the interior: a large open family layout with an open kitchen and dining area. Anne and Alison came up with a great plan that extended the style to the outdoor areas. We were delighted with the final plan. My experience with HQ architects was extremely positive. They did the design work and monitored construction process for a major renovation (partial 'poptop') of my home. They took my major ideas and fleshed them out into practical plans the builders followed with very effective interaction with all involved parties throughout the process. The project was finished on time and close to budget.

We moved into a 1911 house that needed alot of TCL in Wash Park. We wanted to update the house, keep the size, modernize the layout, and stay true to the original design. Piece of cake!
