Harvey Ward is exceptional in every way! We hired him to design the remodel of our 3,000+sf home from a five bedroom two and a ¾ bathroom to a five bedroom four and ½ bathroom home, including the construction of a new open concept kitchen and great room, wine room and new garage. We were so impressed with his designs and his collaboration incorporating our suggestions that we hired him for the build. It was the best decision we could have made. We live in the San Francisco Bay Area and relied on Harvey to manage the build in Paso Robles. The process was seamless. The end result perfection. Harvey was extremely responsive, answering questions or concerns almost instantaneously. As with any project, there were minor issues along the way and Harvey was incredibly responsive and usually out the next day to resolve it. His guidance and suggestions along the way enhanced the finished project. He has an eye for detail and always went the extra mile for us. Harvey isn’t satisfied until the customer is satisfied; he is highly recommended.

The only contractor you need on the central coast. Thorough...conscientious...great attention to detail and creative. Harvey will definitely deliver whatever you want in construction or remodel.

Hire this guy before word gets out about how good he is to do business with. Harvey built a semi-complicated 450 sq ft Trex deck (and Trex railing) for us. Several issues were worked through, always in a positive manner. His communication is excellent. His suggestions are on-target. Harvey did what he said he would, when he said he would do it. He was the easiest part of the project. The city of Paso Robles was actually a pleasure to do business with as well. I wish I had engaged Harvey for the deck design, but I did not. The only issues I encountered were with my architect, whom will definitely not be used for future projects. Harvey dealt nicely with the design short-comings and we are very happy with the final product.

Harvey built a beautiful bookcase for my home. He provided pictures for me to customize my project and any modifications were discussed in advance or along the way. Harvey is very professional. He arrived on time if not a few minutes early each day. The job was completed in a timely manner. There were no hidden costs. He cleaned up the area at the end of each day. I had to reschedule a day when I got sick and he was very flexible in working out a different day with me. If I need any other home projects I will definitely call Harvey.

Recently we had Ward Construction build a Redwood Arbor along the back of our yard. This is the start of a backyard transformation to include an outdoor kitchen and Pergola. Can't say enough good things about this contractor. He listened closely to our design requirements and prepared a nice cad drawing and sent ahead for approval. He arrived well prepared and finished the project ahead of schedule and within budget. Having dealt with multiple contractors over the years it is a pleasure to find one as dependable and with a real sense of making the customer happy. Very pleased with the result and our beautiful addition to the backyard. Would highly recommend Ward Construction for their quality work and can't wait to get the design on the next phase!!

Harvey Ward of Ward Construction did an excellent job for me on a small bathroom redo. From the beautiful tiled floor to the new toilet and custom sink the project was completed in the most professional and design worthy manner. Harvey was very considerate of the space in which he worked and kept things very clean after each day's work. It was completed in a minimal time frame and did not inconvenience me at all. I would recommend him heartily with an A+ grade.

How many times have you heard anyone hire the same builder for two consecutive major-redesign projects? We did, and we'd hire Ward Construction again if we ever have another project. The first was removing 50's-era attic to create 3 new bedrooms and 2 new baths. Ten years later, we overhauled the kitchen, added a basement, built a family room, and built a detached garage. Harvey's company created and completed an over 800 sq. ft. master bedroom, bathroom, walk-in closet, and great room addition in the spring/summer 2010 in my home in the metro Atlanta area. His company was small and therefore only long-time, trust-worthy employees were on the site. Harvey did an excellent job of managing the project from start to finish. He was easy to work with and always true to both his written and spoken word. I would definitely recommend Harvey Ward for any sized job.

We had the pleasure of working with Harvey and his crew for the first time in 1998 when he built an addition to our home that included an office, a great room with a stacked stone 2-way fireplace, and a deck. Following that project, Harvey did several other renovations for us that included: a complete kitchen renovation with custom cabinetry, addition of a fireplace to the master bedroom with a beautiful custom mantle, addition of a pantry with custom cabinetry, and several exterior jobs that included installation of a new decorative front door. We have been impressed with Harvey's quality of workmanship. He gives a thorough estimate and comes in on time and on budget. He has good design ideas and knowledgeable with recommendations. We highly recommend Harvey Ward for any construction/renovation projects, and are sad that he is no longer here locally.

We got in touch with Harvey after a large tree fell on our house, having heard good things from friends of ours who had remodelled. It was very stressful dealing with a slow insurance company, but Harvey was extremely helpful navigating through that tortuous process. Once we were ready to start building, everything went smoothly and professionally, very responsive to concerns. The construction quality was great. I would certainly recommend him.

Ward Construction performed a major repair / renovation on our home after a large tree fell on the roof. Harvey helped us with repairs, design, and renovation which involved the roof, master BR and bath, and kitchen / family room. He was honest, fair, punctual, and always good to his word. He was on site daily and provided outstanding craftsmanship. We are now 7 years past the work and repairs he performed, and the quality and durability of the work remain evident. He also helped us on numerous occasions afterwards when we needed recommendations for other projects. If we had another home construction project, we would use Ward Construction without question!
