Established in 2010, Central Design Studio has gained a reputation for designing interiors with a relaxed and informal quality. Led by creative director Ian Haigh, their approach is centred around how a space feels, rather than just how it looks. Working across the elements of interior architecture, interior design, furniture design, lighting design, and graphic identity, they have an all-encompassing and holistic attitude to their work. A small hands-on team at the centre of the design process, they work with artists, artisans, craftsmen, manufacturers and builders to deliver personal and coherent projects. With Ian’s design ethos at the heart of what they do, the principles of context, atmosphere, materials, craftsmanship and detail all play a part. Their work is steeped in subtle narrative and tangible substance.
