Alex is an absolute professional who takes her design serious but doesn't take herself too seriously ( I mean that in the best possible way). As a parent who needs functionality and flexibility in design, I wasn't sure what to expect but Alex nailed it! Alex listens, offers inspired ideas and makes changes based on feedback. I could say something like the "knob is too knobby" and she knows exactly what I'm talking about. That is important to me. Alex also elevated my own personal spaces (my office, bedroom, primary bathroom) to feel like an oasis away from my children's spaces. Each room has an identity while still being a cohesive home. The relationship is ongoing even when the job ends. I can send her a quick text or e-mail to ask her opinion on an addition to the design and she doesn't hesitate to respond. I also know I can use her professional services again for small projects around my house. I have worked with a few designers in my lifetime as a homeowner. Alex is the best.

Working with Alex from A. Sloan Designs was an incredibly smooth, pleasant, and worthwhile experience. I had approached the task of renovating and decorating a guest bathroom with complete displeasure until a friend recommended Alex. She swooped in and made every part of the experience an absolute pleasure - from creating a brand new layout to choosing a color scheme and tiles to addressing the small details that never would have occurred to me. She somehow understood my taste and style even though I could hardly articulate it and smoothed out the ordeal of ordering materials as well as communicating with the contractor. She made an experience that I thought I would loathe into something I actually enjoyed. The project flowed easily and the result is absolutely wonderful! We couldn't be happier! Will definitely contact her for our future projects.

We recently finished a custom whole house renovation/addition working with Alex. The clients hired her as full service interior design including final furniture, decorations, etc. Working with Alex is a great experience for both the client and us as the builder. She always has a great team approach to everything we discuss. She is organized, creative, pays close attention to the desired construction timeline, and always in a good mood! Any project she is involved with will be a success. As a client you get the benefit of a true professional tying all pieces of the house together and lower stress during construction since she makes it fun. As a builder I know we never have to worry about late decisions, continual changes, or problems. Alex has everything prepared ahead of time and understands the construction side of interior design so her ideas and creativity make sense when implementing as well. If you want to have fun with the design side of a construction project then call Alex!
