Recently moved from San Diego to the mountains east of Eureka Ca. Extremely fortunate to have found Friesen Manufactured Home builds. We cannot say enough about how helpful and professional Russel, Neven and their crew was. They helped us pick the right home and were there every step of the way for us. We are very happy with our brand new home and very happy it was Friesen brothers we chose. You cannot go wrong hiring them. Kudos guys and thank you once again.

Hard to know where to start. Our project was a complete remodel of a house - kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 2 baths. Getting a great builder in Southern Humboldt County is a challenge. I feel that we were very fortunate to have Friesen on the job. Friesen really delivered. Great pre-construction support from Lane, onsite crews were organized, professional and friendly. James (onsite foreman) was responsive to our requests, and went the extra mile to make sure the job got done correctly. I have some experience in the development world, and judge a general by their relationships with their subcontractors. Friesen has good relationships with quality subcontractors which makes the project go very smoothly. Another plus is that the Russell (one of the owners) was involved in the project from beginning to end, with daily emails identifying progress and trades/personnel expected on site. They are organized, professional and have a high level of integrity.

Wow, very professional, emails every morning on what was going on that day.. great people to have around & to deal with. Very fast but yet a very well job done.. from the beginning it was amazing, the way they designed the house the way i didn't have to deal with the county or anyone els.. i would & will never use anyone else as i build my mountain. Fresen are your go to builders & all there subcontractors are great, sheetrockers where awsom,plumbers, electronics & so on..

Russel and his crew are top notch. They built our custom home and the craftsmanship is impeccable. We shopped around before we committed to Friesen Construction and we were a little hesitant because of the initial price. This hesitation quickly diminished as the project proceeded. Many contractors nickel and dime you through the construction process, not Friesen Construction. The process they use to design prior to building, all but eliminates change orders, thus the budget is well known up front (ours did not change). As with any construction, there were a couple of inconsistencies between the plan and as built. This was handled with professionalism and no up-charges. We even changed a couple of things as the project was coming together. Russel and his team didn't complain or increase the price. I am a picky consumer for quality, and I did not find many things they did not take care of on their own without me pointing it out. From the day they started, their crew on the project every work day until the day the project was complete. They did not hop from job site to job site and they completed the project exactly when they promised when we signed the contract. From our perspective, a contractor who completes their project on time, on budget and with quality craftsmanship, is the best contractor you can find. We found this with Friesen Construction! Russell and his team built our dream home on the coast in Shelter Cove. You might find a cheaper builder but not a better one in Humboldt County. Our home was built in 6 months from ground breaking to move in ready. The quality of the work is top notch and the crew was very professional and dependable. One bonus was the site was cleaned up at the end of each work day. When we made a few changes to the plan the costs were very reasonable. I would recommend Friesen construction without any hesitation.

“House” to our “HOME” #1 in CUSTOMER SERVICE… hands down….long review but personal to us We started our journey to enlarge our master bedroom closet… 2 years later we live in Our Forever Home. Our story began with an architect firm (not affiliated with Friesen). We spent a year of thought and dreaming of what we’d want our forever home to feel and look like, resulting in estimates from the renderings to be $200K OVER our budget from two different construction companies, (Friesen was one of the two). Need I say that wasn’t going to work? We thought for sure the house was not going to be a “GO”. All during the “thinking process” Russell (aka the Boss) & Lane (aka “design guru”) kept in touch, even when we didn’t think we were going to have them do the job. The fact they were checking in with us was impressive right from the beginning. Their communication skills are above all others. Lane suggested we have another consultation to discuss our job. He & Russell sat with us, listening to every important detail we desired. They were certain they could build what we were wanting within our budget with some re-design and downsizing. And so the process began. The 3D renderings helped us visualize and fine tune our design, which is so important because this was our first home remodel/rebuild. They truly wanted us to have a great experience in the building process, and it showed with the time invested and patience with us. Even with my “dream ideas” downsized a little, Friesen had creative ideas and great resources, and met every expectation. Our project involved moving 98% of the existing interior walls, and then adding on a large addition. We went from 1800 sq. ft. to 2800 sq. ft. Our friends are blown away when they come in and try to imagine where the front door used to be. We literally moved all but one room in the existing house plan, to a different space or new space. The biggest conversation piece is the solid beam running down our great room, and the large solid beams on our entry. PROFESSIONAL, organized, honest, fair, & pleasant are just a few words that represent Friesen Construction. From the time we met for that consultation to the day they signed off the final paperwork, Friesen’s crew was top of the line. Their daily a.m. email kept us posted on what would be done that day, and who would be doing it. The job site was always left clean at the end of each day. We always knew what to expect. The men working daily were on time, polite, clean, and professional. Change orders were done promptly and fairly. Sub-contractors were held to a high standard also, which is so appreciated. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome. My goal was to create a “modern-Industrial design” with a touch of “rustic flair”, that would be a place where our whole family could sit together for a holiday meal. Friesen and their crew went above and beyond to make our forever home what we had dreamed of, and always having the best attitude during the whole process (even when they could’ve rolled their eyes at me)..ha ha Their hearts were in it with us, and it shows in their work. We’ve already hosted four dinners with 18 guests comfortably. We are still working on some finishing touches, but we love coming home, building a fire, and enjoying our new space. Our house is now a “HOME”. It feels like “us”, and that makes us smile. We moved back in October 14th (so exciting!!) The relationship with Friesen Construction, from the foreman Russell to the sub-contractors; went from a business decision to a friendship. I am now in the fifth year of occupancy in my new ~3000 sq. ft. three storey custom home built by Friesen construction. When we first took posession of the home, we were beyond delighted at the speed, accuracy, and fine finish that was delivered (with no overages). The bid was extremely detailed and accurate, and the materials selected and used were A+. The years have revealed the amazing quality that was built into the home, and the refined look has held up very well, showing just how well manufactured our home was. I highly recommend Friesen for honest, high quality, reasonably priced construction. The site was sight to behold during construction - always tidy and very well organized. We were promised a delivery date (approximately a year), which was beaten by some days with everything complete to our satisfaction.

They are the General Contractor for our "Dream Home" building project. It has been a pleasure working with all the staff. We are half way through the project; lighting, plumbing, staining of natural wood is what we are into now. We started Nov. 2012 with the concrete foundation and started this April 2013 with the framing and are going to final. They have a broad knowledge base and are willing to try or take on any new idea or technique that the home owner is asking to achieve. When you see the final photos, you'll see what I mean.
