Inspired Closets by Tom

I had used this company before and had a positive experience, so writing this review is not something I take lightly. Unfortunately, it has been three months since the company started the two-closet project, and only half of the project has been completed. Understandably, delays will occur due to the pandemic, but the lack of urgency and communication has led to this review. A few examples include: ***The company kept insisting on a deposit, but I said I would not pay a deposit until I had some start date. We were unable to get a tentative date for more than four months. Finally, after receiving a start date, I paid the deposit. ***Instead of the owners, the laborers would inform me that the parts hadn't arrived at the end of each project day. ***Despite scheduling a date to continue the project, the company notified me after the scheduled appointment that the guys would not be coming because it was too hot and they were tired after working on another project. Instead, the company said they would "drop by" another day to continue but not finish the project. I informed the company that I wanted them to set a date to come by when they could complete the entire project. ***The company told me there was a delay in some of my parts, and they would be coming soon. They told me they would keep me updated. In September, I called to ask if they were still planning to finish the project since I hadn't heard anything since July. The response was, "of course." It is now October, and I have not heard anything. I expect that there will be glitches, but I have never felt so neglected and disrespected as a customer. In addition, I never realized what an inconvenience this would be for my family and me. My husband's closet is currently unfinished, and I have bags and storage bins everywhere because my boutique closet is unfinished. Due to the lack of updates and scheduled completion dates, I feel powerless. The company is not recommended at this time.

This is the perfect company to redo any closet or space! They use every single inch of wasted space and the finished project is so much better than I even imagined. I will always use them in the future for my next closet redo projects! Love this company!!!!

Inspired Closets by Tom is detailed oriented from the start of the design process to the installation. They helped us transform our spare bedroom into a office/bedroom by installing a beautiful murphy bed and desk combo. The team was great to work with and they helped us stay within our budget. We highly recommend this company and look forward to working with their team again in the future!

Tom's team created and installed three closets in my 1959 built house. What a difference each closet made. More room, shelves, strong construction, an enormous improvement. I recommend Inspired Closets by Tom for anyone who wants to improve their closet space.

From the initial design to final installation, it was a pleasure working with the team from Inspired Closets by Tom of Western PA. Jane was very easy to work with - giving me several options for a design - even if it took 6 or 7 versions to get to my final choice. The installers are very professional and efficient. I absolutely LOVE my new closet ! You can't go wrong with this company.

We have used Inspired Closets by Tom to complete our garage, master bedroom walk ins and now the remainder of the closets in our home. Emelyn is fantastic to work with through the design process and the team goes above and beyond to insure every detail of the closet installation is perfect. Formerly Closets by Tom, now Inspired Closets is a company that literally changed my walk in closet. By having Tom come in to our home, we incorporated a hamper, several jewelry drawers, two sections of purses and even an area specifically to hang my dresses, without dragging on the floor. We even did a shoe pantry and an area for my husband to hang his ties/belts. This total upgrade increased our homes value substantially, as we recently sold our home in 2 weeks and one of the main reasons was the awesome bathroom/walk in closet area, from the buyers. Toms' prices were extremely competitive also. I will be using Tom next month again to build me my custom closet and shoe pantry in our new home. He is meticulous in his work and does an exceptional job. Thank you Tom for allowing us to get top dollar for our home!

Wonderful design and finished project. Only custom closet installer that was truly able to think outside of the box and customize a closet with double hanging racks on an angled ceiling. Great work!

From the initial consult to the design rendering to the day of installation, all facets of dealing with Closets by Tom was fantastic. This is the 3rd project that we have had done by Closets by Tom. We will be doing business with them again here in the near future.

Tom and Laura did a terrific job at a reasonable price. Laura made numerous helpful suggestions and was great at revising designs until we got what we wanted and needed.

Very pleased with the end product. Tom and his designers were very responsive and had great input into what would work best with the space we had. The workmen were clean, fast and polite. Very trustworthy. And our new closet is out of this world! Price is very reasonable!
