Every morning I step into my kitchen and pinch myself. I hired Michelle to help me reimagine our kitchen in early 2022. The constraints were many - we had a modest budget and we were not changing the footprint of the kitchen or opening it up to the rest of the house, no new windows or doors. 

 Michelle’s ideas for moving appliances into new locations (this was in budget!) and how to plan out new working and storage spaces made an incredible impact. Guests step into our kitchen and tell me first how gorgeous it is, and then how much bigger and open it feels. On a daily basis I am continually amazed by how much more work space and storage I have in the same space as before. Michelle’s ability to smartly optimize your space is unmatched only by her incredible sense of style and design. 

 I also have a strong sense of design and know what I like, so I had prepped Pinterest boards for our first meeting. Michelle absorbed all of that input and came back to me with ideas that expanded and pushed on mine. She has a lovely ability to give and take that made the process so collaborative and fun. I loved her attention to detail and how deeply she considers textures, finishes, materials, shapes and colors when she is putting together ideas for you. On the business side of things she is a strong and prompt communicator. She worked well with our contractors and speaks their language. Billing was reasonable and easy to track throughout the project. I highly recommend Michelle for any interior design project and would hire her again in a second for my next project.

Michelle designed every aspect, both in-and outside our new mid-century Palm Desert pool home. The house is about 2800 square feet on about 1/3 of an acre with pool and spa. Michelle designed and selected all furnishings and decor for this 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom vacation home. She also designed outdoor gathering spaces -- a firetable gathering area, dining and bbq areas, working with our needs for a 4-hole putting green, ping-pong area, hammock hang-out. May I just say, the house and outdoor spaces are DARLING. Everyone who has seen it flips! It is modern, fresh, chic and warm -- all at the same time. She is creative, efficient, professional and efficient, while making everything seem fun! She is a blast to work with -- smart, incredibly creative, witty and upbeat. Her services are a great value, too -- she is one of the hardest working people we know. We highly recommend Michelle and MB Interiors.

We have had the most creative and rewarding experiences working with Michelle from MB Interiors on the interior and exterior design of our home. Michelle has fabulous taste, talent and resources. We selected much of the furniture, lighting, accents, and art by going on great field trips together. The collaborative process has been amazing because Michelle sees what we hope our rooms will look like at the end, and she makes those dreams come alive! She will bring things to the house or send us ideas that she thinks will work, and every time the choices have been perfect. Now that this home is complete, we would love for Michelle to help us with another home. MB Interiors has help us make our house into a fabulous home we really love.

I hired MB Interiors to help with a kitchen remodel and Michelle was wonderful. She quickly grasped what style I had in mind and was able to complement that with many options at various price points. I was overwhelmed at the tile and granite yard and Michelle was easily able to direct me to focus on fewer patterns and styles to make my final decision. She has a keen sense of color and is extremely creative. She custom designed a hood that is a focal point and highlight of my kitchen. She was reliable, responsive and a delight to work with.

Michelle designed a beautiful bookcase for my 100+ year-old house and helped me thread the needle between respecting the house's architecture and providing storage that was useful and stylish by today's standards. Friends entering the house for the first time weren't sure if the bookcase was old ("It looks like it's always been there") or new ("...but it feels kind of contemporary."). Michelle also has made useful recommendations on using lighting as the "jewelry" of a room (she is really great at this). While selecting paint colors, I also got a very useful education on the effects of undertones of different paint colors, and this knowledge was essential as I selected a paint scheme for an entire house. I didn't want everything the same color but wanted a smooth, non-jarring transition from room to room, and Michelle's advice, plus a few key recommendations on colors helped me to achieve that. I'd happily recommend Michelle for both big jobs (major redesign) and little ones (i.e. help with this room now, that one later). Plus, she very practical and nice!

We hired Michelle from MB Interiors to help us with the recent remodel of our house. Michelle was incredibly organized, quick to respond to all of our emails/requests and was able to easily figure out our style and needs from the very beginning. Michelle has a great eye for design and was always very professional. She worked well with our contractor because of her personable nature and her great communication skills. We have recently just hired Michelle again to help us with some of our finishing touches. I would highly recommend MB Interiors!

I love my house because of the comfort, beauty and special touches designed by MB Interiors. Michelle has style sense that selects color, lighting, furniture and accessories that have the get-noticed factor. At the same time, she individualizes in a way that makes most decisions feel like quick first choice for my taste. But I never could have imagined what she chose on my own. We enjoyed working with Michelle on various interior decoration options for our house. She helped us sort through different paint colors and provided numerous options for us to consider. Both my husband and I grew up in houses with plain white walls, so for us to "step outside the box" and consider different colors for our house was a big step. Michelle eased us into the process and gave us countless options to consider, knowing that they all fit under one color scheme. She strongly encouraged us to consider a darker brown paint for our hallway, which I originally did not agree with. However, we ended up going with a dark brown in our hallway and it's now one of my favorite places in our house. Overall, we have 10 different paint colors (including accent walls) in our house. Michelle also discussed furniture arrangement and drew some options for us to consider now, as well as later when we have more time and money to spend on a big project. We are definitely excited to hold onto these options and explore them down the road. She also directed us to different websites so that we can view and potentially buy different furniture pieces that would fit our space. Michelle also recommended where to hang framed pictures on the wall and how to standardize the frame locations throughout a room. This was a huge help for us, and we waited nearly a year before hanging on the walls because we wanted to make sure it was just right. Overall, Michelle was a big help for us and motivated us to step outside the box. We are so pleased with how everything has turned out and have received many compliments from friends and family. We highly recommend working with her!
