Excellent, professional work to create an accessible bathroom Gamburd recently completed an extensive renovation of the master bathroom in our 1-story house to make it safe and accessible as we age. They removed a small oval bathtub, created a new curbless shower that can be used with a wheelchair, removed a dark “closet” around the toilet and installed grab bars next to the toilet and in the shower area. They also did a minor update (floor tile and countertops) in the kitchen. We are 100% pleased with the results and the process, from start to finish. After disqualifying several contractors, we saw a truck on the freeway marked “Gamburd Inc…. Accessible bathrooms.” We learned that they specialize in home modifications to accommodate disability—stair chairs, ramps, grab bars, and curbless showers! Their license checked out with the Contractors’ State License Board. Their knowledgeable salesman David measured the room and drafted proposed computer layouts. We visited their showroom in Pacoima, where we discussed our needs and ideas with owner Israel Gamburd. Our positive impression was confirmed by a very happy client whose house Gamburd had remodeled to accommodate a paraplegic family member. Gamburd sent us a written quote; then, Israel, David, and construction foreman Juan H visited us to go over the quote and clarify details about what we wanted. When we signed the final bid, including a detailed cost breakdown and payment schedule, we were confident we were in the right hands. All work except stone countertop fabrication was done by Gamburd employees. Gamburd obtained the building permit and managed city inspections. Our project leadIrwin coordinated closely with foreman Juan H; the Gamburd team also included Sergio, Manny, Miguel, Juan L, Rudy, and Jose, each with special skills. Work started with a full day of preparation, placing protective Ramboard on the floors throughout the house and plastic Zipwalls to contain dust from the work. From then on, at least 2 workers were here every day during the 7-week project. They worked hard, minimized disruption, and kept us informed of what to expect. The Schluter products they installed worked perfectly to leakproof the shower area and ensure proper drainage. The city inspector told us we had a good contractor, and we passed all inspections without modifications. Irwin and Juan H consulted with us frequently on many issues—heights of the counters, shower bench and grab bars, placement of medicine cabinets and electrical fixtures, the pattern of tile installation. Communication, teamwork, and craftsmanship were always excellent. At the end of the project, the only added costs were minor, for unplanned electrical work required to correct problems with the original house wiring and for installing new floor tile in the laundry room at our request, not part of the original project. Bottom line: excellent work done by a very competent professional team. We recommend Gamburd without reservation.

Gamburd Inc is a fantastic company. They did exactly what we asked and they did it exactly when they said they were going to. We had them remodel two bathrooms and one of them was made into an accessible bathroom with a roll in shower and the bathrooms turned out to be beautiful and I might add very sexy! But their work was perfect and the crew was terrific. Very clean, very respectful and very knowledgeable about what needed to be done. Yes, there were problems along the way which had nothing to do with them. But they communicated with us clearly and understandably along the way, not only about the work that needed to be done but also about the cost of the work and how long it would take. I wish everyone could see the photos of exactly how well everything turned out. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to remodel and especially anyone needing to have their bathrooms or home made more accessible.

Remodeled my kitchen and extended my living room. Great work! They were always on time, project was done before the deadline and kept everything clean at the end of the day. They also do a lot of wheelchair accessible projects.

We bought a fixer-upper and the first thing we needed was an accessible bathroom. Gamburd worked directly with us to design a functional beautiful space. They fully understood our need for a barrier free roll-in shower, raised toilet and roll under vanity. Gamburd installed three grab bars in my bathrooms and they did a fantastic job. Their technician was neat and thorough and even after I told him I would vacuum, he insisted on doing it himself. The quality of their product is wonderful and I would recommend them to anyone. I will definitely use them again.

Gamburd is about as good as they come, Israel and his men installed a complete bathroom, new floors, paint and baseboards in my new house all within a two week time frame. The work was top notch and nothing had to be fixed or redone. I highly recommend Gamburd and will not hesitate to recommend them to friends.

Rayas Paradise hands down is the best, finest facility of its kind. Leader in every aspect. Kind loving caregivers, clean, efficient, great meals. If something needs to be done, only have to ask once. It's more than a facility, it is a charming home. Highly reccomend.

Israel & his staff were professional, considerate &extremely patient. They arrived timely and kept us abreast of their progress throughout the remodel. The thing that truly impressed me was Israel's desire to have everything perfect for my husband. When asked how was your 1st night, my huband described how good it felt to go upstairs on the lift after 5 years. Israel's expression was priceless--he was like a kid at Christmas-truly glad to have given him more freedom and mobility.
