Steadfast Construction

We had a great experience with Steadfast. Before choosing them for our deck and screened in porch project we met with approximately 10 different companies. Steadfast stood out from the crowd, and while they weren’t the cheapest (or highest!) we couldn’t be happier with our choice. James did an excellent job not only working with us to understand what we wanted, especially with an ask related to an ADA compliant ramp in a tight space, but also communicating promptly and thoroughly, asking for clarification and stopping by for in person meetings when I wasn’t quite able to cover what I wanted with words and pictures. He also offered great design suggestions and helped us figure out how to get the most value for our dollar. Towards the end of the project James coordinated with the siding company we were working with to ensure there was a seamless connection between the new screened porch and the new siding, including working with the other company to resolve a communication breakdown resulting in a design issue. Franklin and his crew were efficient and easy to work with as well. We’d highly recommend Steadfast to anyone looking for deck or porch companies in this area!!!

The manager was very rude and aggressive when I voiced my complaint. He didn't try to hear what I had to say and instead taunted me with the idea of suing their company - that I wouldn't win if I sued them. Never once did I mention legal action. I had to pay additional charges to the guy who did the manual labor because even he felt bad for having left the deck in the condition it was in. The salesman who worked on my proposal even admitted to making a clerical mistake on my contract but as mentioned, the manager wouldn't budge. I wouldn't recommend this company.

Initial conversations and assessment/design with Steadfast (Jake & James) was great. He showed up and had a lot of insightful things to say. That was in May of 2022 when we were told we would get a proposal in a week or so. It has been over a month where I have had to follow up multiple times with little to no contact from the company. It is the hardest I have had to work to give someone money. Finally we got another call and were promised a proposal by the end of the weekend, which we also didn't get. We went from being 100% excited (and honestly more than ready to buy) to being ignored. Overall we lost a bit over a month of time waiting on Steadfast, and while we would love to have the project as described in our in person meeting, its just not possible to trust a company who would treat potential customers this way.

The initial work performed was good. The workers were very professional and courteous. If you had asked me six months ago to give Steadfast a review, I would have given them five stars. However, over the winter, some of the the balusters they installed came lose. After two months of e-mailing and trying to call them, they still haven't gotten back to me to even look at the problem. Their work order stated that labor was guaranteed for two years and materials for life. The guarantee is no good if they won't perform the warranty work. In short, once you've made your payments to Steadfast, don't look for any further support.

My husband and I hired Steadfast Construction on the advice of our neighbors, who had a stellar experience with them when they hired Steadfast to build their deck, screened in porch, and patio. Based on how beautiful their construction project turned out, it was an easy decision for us. After reviewing three bids, just to be sure, Steadfast came out on top in terms of quality promised and delivered, design and construction expertise, proven track record, excellent customer service reviews, and, of course, value for the price. Our experience with Steadfast was equally as outstanding as our neighbors, and we now have a beautiful new deck, patio, and a shed. And, at every step in the process, Steadfast went above and beyond to ensure that the work was completed on time (except when the weather intervened - and they called us to explain the weather delay and the conditions that would allow them to resume work), to our satisfaction (to include hand picking the deck and railing in coordination with us over the phone and at no extra cost), and within our budget (explaining every item and at every step so there were no surprises). The invoicing was pristine, they handled all the permits and inspections, and worked with us on the design, even when we asked for something to be changed, such as building a fence, redoing our walkway, and having no middle posts so we had more open space under the deck to clean our kayaks and bikes. Everything is beautiful, functional, and solid. Everyone we worked with at and through Steadfast was fantastic--friendly, expert, and thorough. And, to top it off - their work is guaranteed for two years. We would highly recommend Steadfast.

2018_11_08 Steadfast Construction Review We had our front porch re-decked in October, 2017. They demolished the 40’ x 6’ decking, and replaced it. They also installed PVC trim on the band-board. They gave us a 1-year labor warranty, and lifetime or 25-year material warranty. We were very pleased with their work, especially because they wouldn’t install the new decking after the demolition until the supervisor had checked the framing for rot, even though I had inspected it and told them to go ahead. They discovered an area that had rotted and needed to be replaced before they would proceed. I wouldn’t have known about this defect until it failed later. Since that time, we have requested that they come back 3 times for fixes. 1) 11/2017, they added some caulk in a small area next to the decking near the front door, because it had been overlooked. 2) 01/2018, there was a cut in the siding on one corner, at the bottom, where the previous decking had been, and after the new decking was installed, that small area looked unfinished. They came and added some trim to neaten up the appearance and now I’m pleased with the way it looks. 3) 10/2018, the PVC trim on the band-board was sticking up a little bit higher the decking, as the decking had settled, which is normal. It was beginning to present a trip hazard. They came and trimmed down the PVC and added corner trim to make it look good and no longer be a trip hazard. It took about half a day to complete. Because they backed up their warranty for no additional charge, and our porch still looks fantastic after a year, we continue to be pleased with our decision to select Steadfast Construction.

I had to have my deck replaced and chose Steadfast based on a neighbor's high recommendation. I too had a great experience with them. They did excellent work and my new deck looks fantastic. In addition, the coordinator who set up the construction was extremely efficient and accommodating. The construction workers were very professional and paid close attention to detail. All around it was a great experience and they all did great work!

Steadfast Construction built a screened-in porch for us. The company did an outstanding job from start to finish. The crew was always there when they said they would be. The construction quality (fit and finish) was excellent. Job site was always picked up at the end of the day and waste material hauled away promptly. And based on the estimates we received from other companies, Steadfast's price was very competitive.

We had Steadfast build our deck and patio. Steadfast did a stellar job on both projects, from planning, design, and build. On budget, on time and great quality workmanship.

Steadfast Construction installed a screened-in structure for our back porch that included a ceiling/gutter system and door. The structure was also painted to match the existing deck.

Steadfast did a really good job with our patio deck. They maintained constant communication throughout the building process, worked through all the permits, provided help with the Homeowners Association and did the appointments with the county inspector. After we got approval from the HOA Steadfast contacted us to inform us that some of the materials as required by the HOA had been discontinued but they provided us with similar replacements which the HOA approved immediately. I tend to be very careful over the contractors we use and we would definately use Steadfast again.

My husband and I could not be more thrilled about the new deck on our home. Steadfast has some of the best contractors I have seen in quite some time. They truly care about what they build. Our crew went above and beyond making sure my husband and I were happy. From the quality of materials used, to the visual appearance and the craftsmanship put into our deck we have no doubt it will last and look amazing for years to come. We have received many compliments for neighbors as well. We are very grateful!
