My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

About Us

Joanne Balaban Designs is a full service interior design firm. We focus on, creating unique environments, from entire houses to single rooms. Our office is located in Bucks County, but services the entire Delaware Valley region from the Jersey Shore to Manhattan, Delray Beach to San Francisco and beyond . We offer a variety of techniques that blend modernity with classical elegance. Asked to distinguish her approach, Joanne notes “clients hire us to develop and implement a space distinctively theirs: functional and beautiful, with lighting as customized as every other element, to create a welcoming, visually exciting space. It should seamlessly meld the clients needs and their visions as we help bring them to life. We take the hassle out of moving &/or down sizing, providing planning & coordination assistance. We can help you make your new space feel fresh, decide what to keep, where to best use it, what to retrofit, & what is unneeded. Even with new construction, we can work with you & your builder to explore custom vs. fit out, finishes, cabinetry & lighting. Not moving? We can take your existing space from tired to wow!

We had several challenging spaces in our home. The results were outstanding from Joanne's use of functionality and creativity. Our dining area became a banquet with ample storage as well as a place to entertain comfortably. Joanne also produced original artwork that added innovative style and uniqueness. I recommend her highly.

Joanne Balaban is an amazing artist with impeccable taste. She has a wonderful sense of design, color, and overall vision. I worked with Joanne years ago on the total remodeling of my 1st condominium in the city, and now, many years later, called upon her expertise to assist me in another condo in the Main Line-redoing the living room with all new furnishings,carpet, paint, and accents; choosing the paint colors throughout the apartment,as well as various area rugs; selecting wallpaper in the entrance; and art placement. Joanne is so easy to work with, a joy to be around, and most importantly, works with the client's tastes and budget in mind, all the while doing her magic. WOULD RECOMMEND HIGHLY TO ANYONE!!!!!!!!!

I have now worked with Joanne on 3 projects for 2 homes. She is wonderful to work with and provides perfect oversight for all aspects of the project. Her ideas and drawing bring the project to life and her assistance in selection of materials makes the process very efficient and fun. During installation she makes sure that everything is perfect and you don't need to do anything. I highly recommend Joanne for any design projects that you might have (big or small).
