We recently completed a remodel of our kitchen and had to redecorate that space, as well as an adjacent sitting room. Jan and Lorin did a terrific job helping us move outside our comfort zone and pulling the two spaces together. As a result we have updated spaces that are fresh, vibrant, and comfortable and at the same time complement our 1940's colonial. Jan and Lorin were always responsive to our questions and concerns, and very easy to work with. I highly recommend them.

I recently had hired Jan and Lorin for custom drapery in our living room and master bedroom. The results are exactly what we where looking for. Our experience from the initial contact to the finished work was nothing but excellent. Jan and Lorin are extremely knowledgable and professional. Could not have asked for a better outcome.

We were complete novices when it comes to buying furniture and decorating. Everything we had was either secondhand, or a couple of decades old, or both. We knew we needed help, so we asked Bertin’s Decorating Den to help us redecorate our living room. This was our first time working with a decorator, and we didn’t know what to expect. Jan and Lorin were open and direct about how the process works and were responsive to our many questions. From the very beginning, they asked about our budget comfort zone and stayed within it throughout. We had a few ideas about what we wanted, but nothing specific. Jan and Lorin were patient with us, learned our preferences, but also opened us up to ideas and concepts we never would have discovered on our own. While the focus was on just one room, the design was completely harmonious with the feel and flow of the house. They were generous with their ideas of what we might do in rooms that were outside the scope of the project. They listened to our ideas and came up with some designs for us to consider. We talked it over with them, chose one and they immediately set things in motion. We really benefited from their years of experience. For us, the choices available in the furniture market could be overwhelming at times. Working with Jan and Lorin, we felt confident that we were purchasing quality pieces that would come together coherently in the room. As sometimes can happen, there was a concern with one of the pieces was delivered. Jan contacted the company and followed up with them persistently, until the issue was resolved. We are very happy with our new gorgeous living room. We feel lucky to have found Jan and Lorin.

We downsized to a new condo and Jan and Lorin helped decorate, add storage and accessorize from top to bottom. It was a great experience.

Jan and Lorin have completed several projects within my home and each one is better than the last! They have great attention to detail, are very personable and easy to work with. They coordinated with a contractor and painter to have a larger project done on time and down to every last detail. I am very satisfied with their thorough work and will continue to use them for future projects.

Jessica provided a design and helped me select materials and fixtures for my current office and some partial updating for my living room and staircase. I could not be happier with selections. She was always willing to work within my budget and I think that I actually saved money on this project by using her services. Jessica Walls worked with us this summer and fall on our dining room, sitting room and entry way. The results were fantastic! I can't stop admiring the pieces she helped us select. We worked with designer- Jessica Walls. We found her to be very focused on putting out quality products. Also very detailed, and her commitment to craftsmanship was fantastic. We had heard mixed opinions about working with designers, but Jessica and the team at Bertin's made the experience enjoyable.
