I had a disappointing experience with JC Licht for window treatments. I ordered $11K of Hunter Douglas sun shades for a high rise apartment in Chicago. First, despite an in-home design consultation in June, the designer, Mark C, did not consider how the pull-chain retainers attached to the wall would prevent the windows from opening fully. Then, the installer, Noe, did not follow the building engineer's installation requirement when anchoring to the soffit. And, despite measuring twice, one of the window treatments he brought out did not fit. I was told that the cutting and installation of the incorrectly sized window treatment would be expedited... Almost three months later, after several attempts to schedule the appointment and a last minute cancellations by the installer, I finally had an appointment for the day before Thanksgiving. Not great, but I was available and made it work. All around, from design to installation, this was a disappointing experience. I did reach out to them about my experience, and they were apologetic for not meeting my expectations, but I would not recommend, and I wish I had done some more shopping before picking JC Licht.

JC Licht color consultant, Julie D., provided an interior wall color scheme that made a dramatic improvement in the appearance of my home. The first floor has an exceptionally open floor plan that makes selection of wall colors difficult. Prior to hiring Julie I received three different color scheme proposals from three interior decorators none of which looked good with all of my furnishings and transitioned well from room to room. Julie’s color selections work beautifully in every room and they make the different furnishings and accessory colors in the rooms that are open to each other look like they belong together. The overall result is amazing. Thank you Julie.

I needed help with deciding what colors to paint my first floor. A friend recommended JC Licht. She had used them for her home, too. I was very happy with Julie, the woman who came to my home. I sent her an email prior to her coming with some ideas and desires that I wanted for my home. We were on the same page with her color suggestions and her ideas. I have gotten many compliments on the color choices. I am Very Happy with the outcome of having a professional come into my home with her ideas! I will recommend JC Licht to my friends.

Julie from JC Licht was such a big help when it came to picking out the colors for my house. She helped me pick out a classic/historical color for the exterior trim and siding that looks great, and the perfect shade for my front door and shutters.

Wonderful experience working with Julie the paint consultant. She helped me make some tough choices in a short amount of time and my house looks amazing! We used their Natura paint and it is great quality. This paint brought our home from looking cookie-cutter to looking custom!

Julie really knew her stuff! She listened to what I was looking for and then made her recommendations. She planned for our meeting, took photos, was amazing with my neighbors and offered to help the painter as well! The only reason I didn't give her exceeded was there was a very small lag in the follow up.

Nicole did a paint color consult for my family room. Our family room was completely renovated by us and I really wanted to have a great color and vision as to how the room would look. From the very start, Nicole would always return my calls and was very prompt in all her communication. The day of the color consult, she came in and I could see she was "thinking" from the start. We talked about the room I wanted to paint, and she gave fabulous recommendations and told me how to accent other parts of my house so that it all flowed naturally and was connected. Some of the color, I would have never thought to do, but I did it...and have been so pleased with the results. My friends who knew I had the consult also agree. I would not hesitate to use Nicole and her expertise again. She also helped me think about what type of accessories would go well with some of the colors that were chosen. The process with JC Licht and Nicole was effortless. Thank you!

I used their in-house color consultation. It was reasonably priced, and a portion is given back to you to buy paint in the store. The store was able to provide samples, advice, products and most of all genuine concern for the project. I have also received a follow-up email to check on the project. Wow! I have never been more excited to revoie such great professionals! I needed detailed touch ups throughout my home( laundry room, mastr, kids bdrm,etc.) . They were focused and got the task done nthe first time just the way I wanted.( And surpassed my expectations too!!) Thank you thank you thank you for bringing my house to life again !!
