We highly recommend The Rooted Studio for home design and remodel projects. We are grateful to have hired the firm to design and complete an extensive renovation of our 1968 Colonial home. Our home was outdated and in desperate need of updating, especially the kitchen and bathrooms. Jimmy and Linda are an awesome team to work with, and their individual talents complement one another. From the design phase to construction and the selection of materials, finishes and furniture, they made the entire process a creative, collaborative, and enjoyable experience. We always thought that we needed to build an addition to our first floor but we were shown that it was unnecessary with a reconfiguration of the first floor, creating the openness, space and light we wanted. We now have a home that we love and we still pinch ourselves with our amazing kitchen and first floor design!

I heard about Linda from several friends who had used her services and who had suggested she’d be just the person to help me select colors for all the rooms in both of my homes. Since I had never used any colors except white for walls, colors were a big step for me and I was a nervous wreck. Linda was great! We talked about choices, options etc and what impressed me at the time was the fact that she is such a good listener and helped me make decisionI never thought I could make. Of note irs been 7 or 8 years since we did the work,and I needed to repaint a few rooms, but I couldn’t find info on colors that she had given me, I called her to ask for suggestions and the next day she gave me a complete list of all the colors etc that we had used for each room all those years ago!

We love our porch. Jimmy Stringer and his crew checked on our project daily, paid attention to small and large details. The quality of the work is excellent. Jimmy’s architectural expertise provides additional intrinsic value because the work not only looks wonderful, but the finished project looks like it was always supposed to be part of our home. Every day, Jimmy or an associate was on our site talking to us, making sure construction was correct and timely. At the end, they asked us to create a “punch list” of things that needed attention, but we couldn’t make a list because they took care of things as the job progressed. They truly care that you are happy during construction and upon completion. We highly recommend the Rooted Studio. Their motto is, “We want you to love it.” And, we do!

We worked with Jimmy and Linda on our conversion of a space in our home into an in-law suite by adding a bathroom, bedroom and sitting room. They took care of literally every detail and the finished product is beautiful. We absolutely love the space, as does anyone who sees it. The finishings are really top notch. Jimmy and Linda are also absolute pleasures to work with and were always available. I highly recommend them for any complex project.

Linda’s professional advice and ideas made it easy to choose paint color, furniture, fabrics—everything. It was wonderful to have one source to coordinate carpeting, electrical work, plumbing changes, painting and drapery hanging. Everything was choreographed to get the work done and minimize the chaos in the house.
