Julie has done a great job on design recommendations for our two bathroom remodels. She also helped us with a fireplace design, and we got some really nice Hunter Douglas cellular shades from her. She is especially good at helping disagreeing spouses make a decision they are both happy with! This is a rare talent! Definitely worth it. (Cost below is total for the two bathrooms, not just the design work).

I've hired Ms. Hranicka for both my Portland home and Honolulu condo and couldn't be more pleased. She really listens to what the client wants in style, function, as well as budget. She was able to look at my style and make suggestions to lighting, paint colors, and adornments that I would have never thought of. Through the Houzz app we were able to communicate trans-pacific to create an amazing custom built headboard with built in lighting!

Fixer Upper When Marc and I saw this unique, mid-century style 70’s home, it immediately captured our hearts- even though we could see it needed some TLC. After we received the keys and did our first walk through, we rode home in silence. I think we were both stunned at the amount of work it actually needed. Marc had previous experience with a DIY fixer upper, but this job was overwhelming and we knew we would needed professional help and guidance. Julie was wonderful at helping us get started and being present and available throughout the process. Through the consultation process, Julie quickly understood our goals and desires for our home. She connected us with an amazing contractor and together they worked meticulously on every detail while staying within budget and on schedule. Being new to renovation myself, I appreciated Julie’s super power ability to ease the overwhelming feeling of too many choices and presented us with options that fit our wants and needs; particularly the desire to keep the overall design consistent with the era and style of our home. Julie did an excellent job helping us to upgrade the look of our small office building and waiting room area with blinds, paint and furniture. We had a limited budget but big ideas and she found ways for us to achieve a modern look within our means. She had all the samples we needed to choose blinds and paint colors. She arranged everything through to installation of the blinds, which are beautiful. She advised us in choosing fabric and wood tones for new waiting room chairs. When it all was done we had a completely fresh new look. She was so easy to work with.

The idea of decorating a new house, picking paint, carpet, tiles, etc., was overwhelming to me. Decorating does not come easy to me and I was quite intimidated by the prospect. Julie was a tremendous help through the process, and actually she made it quite enjoyable. She was able to read my style and come up with ideas and materials that I never would have thought of. She is easy to work with and accommodating to your schedule. She is also very patient, which was important. And, she was my advocate with the builder to push for our ideas. I have a house I love, and outside of the builder, I have Julie to thank for that. The colors are ideal for me, the tile combinations are lovely and my kitchen is beautiful. Julie was great to work with and I would gladly recommend her to anyone.

I worked with Julie Hranicka Interiors for two main projects in my house-- master bedroom and the living room area. Julie is amazing to work with! She fully understood my style and helped to transform both of my rooms into what I wanted, but better. She is professional and was also very respectful of working within my budget. We have worked with Julie on serveral jobs as tile installers. She understands merging the products and installation issues extremely well. She has a great eye for color, shape and textures. We worked with her recently on a project with a very tight budget and she was on budget and very organized with product delivery. She has a wonderful personality and is a pleasure to work with.
