About Us

Huestis Tucker Architects, LLC, is a full service firm specializing in custom residential, commercial, and corporate architecture and interior design. The firm was founded in 1998 by Jennifer Huestis and Bob Tucker, a husband and wife team. Together with their staff of experienced and talented designers, Bob and Jennifer create thoughtful, high quality, timeless designs which express their clients’ sensibilities and embody their dreams while enhancing their quality of life. The principals work closely and collaboratively with every client throughout the entire process from initial sketches to final punchlist, to create buildings and interiors of timeless beauty and state of the art functionality. They approach each project with an eye towards aesthetics, an attention to detail, a wealth of knowledge of the building process, and an in depth understanding of high quality sustainable materials, methods of construction, and modern energy efficiency technologies.

Jennifer did a fabulous job working with us to develop the plans for our kitchen and bathroom renovation in New Haven. She was very sensitive to our requirements for the project, our budget, and worked extremely well to channel our general aesthetic into an actionable plan. She has been extremely responsive and available when the need arises, and we are very happy with the plans, which are now being implemented.

This is the third major renovation build project in which I have hired Jennifer. The first was a major build/renovation of a stone Cape, the second was a Nantucket renovation and the third is a renovation of a seaside cape where I am adding a sun porch, master bath, new entrance and back deck. Jennifer is a gifted architect with a strong focus on design and ability to marry old with new. She is able to transform space in new ways and is able to take a wish list and make it a reality. She is flexible, calm and very artistic. I highly recommend her. But, I especially recommend her to anyone who is interested in an individual gifted in attention to detail, style and proportion.

Jen is terrific. She took all the mystery and confusion out of our kitchen remodeling project. She is timely with her work-product and refreshingly responsive to your concerns and questions. She works well with contractors, and the contractors' respect her. She took a traditional 1960s kitchen and without major structural work designed a kitchen that would suit just about anyone's taste or need within a budget of $50,000.

Friendly, professional, worked with us to create a beautiful master suite in our cape style house. Worked well with our contractor and made site visits as needed.
