Jill is a great architect that I worked with a few years back on a very difficult build in Mill Valley. At the time it was one of the most difficult builds I had done. The city of Mill Valley building department put many hurdles in my way throughout the process but Jill was there to help get me through it and in the end the project turned out beautiful.

Jill is creative, and has an exceptional and tasteful sense of design. She is extremely knowledgable about the technical aspects of construction, and about the local building codes. She is well respected at the various planning departments. She has a great rapport with contractors and subcontractors, and explains herself tactfully and clearly.

Jill is a diligent, efficient, professional that made a dream of a stair tower for us. She is quick to respond to emails and phone calls. Easy to work with and listens to your suggestions and stays within your budget.

Jill was quick, responsive, and professional. Helped get the project to the finish line efficiently and get creative in finding structural engineers when it felt like the entirety of the Bay Area was booked.

Jill Benton Tardy is an exceptional architect. She listens to what her clients want, then interprets their wishes into a gorgeous design. Jill is totally professional and always open to listening to her clients' suggestions while carefully guiding them to the best design possible. She built a carport for me and her design has been admired by all who see it. She put beauty and sophistication into a functional design that blends well into a wooded setting. I would use Jill for any architectural project I will have in the future, and I highly recommend her to anyone needing a great architect. You will be in good hands !

Jill is knowledgable, creative, professional, attentive and reliable. She helped create the vision for my performing arts studio, PAAM (Performing Arts Academy of Marin). She worked well with my contractor, submitted necessary information to the county for permits, was consistent with deadlines, offered her expertise, followed up when needed and was always willing to collaborate or offer other creative solutions. I look forward to working with her on future projects - I am so happy to have found her via a professional recommendation from another architect.

We did an extensive remodel and although Jill specializes in new houses, she was a great partner in helping us realize our ideas for our house. She combines technical/engineering expertise with creative design to produce a complete project. She was easy to work with throughout the life of the remodel. We highly recommend her for remodels/renovations!

I hired Jill for two remodel projects and we were thrilled with the outcome on both. Jill is smart, creative and an absolute professional.

I was very pleased with the creativity of Tardy & Associates designs for my single family home projects on unique and difficult sites. Their willingness and capability to coordinate smoothly with the other participants in the design and approval process (survey, soils, engineers, arborist, traffic study, building department, and design review) saved me lots of headaches and moved each of my projects to a successful completion.

We have used Tardy & Associates Architects for five retail new builds and remodels during the past decade and have always received quality work and timely, professional service. We will be using them again on our next project.
