Known for his high-end interiors, architectural and hospitality photography, Vermont based Jim Westphalen also specializes in creating imagery for fine food magazines, landscape designers and catalogs. His work appears regularly in such fine publications as Design New England, Eating Well, Fine Homebuilding, New England Home, Country Gardens, This Old House, Beautiful Kitchens, Renovation Style, Yankee and Vermont Life magazines. His photographs can also be seen in dozens of home and garden books by Taunton Press, Meredith Corporation and Story Publishing. In addition to commercial and editorial assignments, Jim shows his fine art images through Burlington City Arts as well as at Edgewater Gallery. His ongoing current body of work, vanish is a narrative on the disappearance of iconic structures in rural America. Jim has been a professional photographer for more than 25 years. He services clients all across the Northeast and beyond. Born and raised in Long Island, New York, in 1996 he moved to Vermont where he now lives with his wife Kendra and three children. It was the beauty and charm of New England that inspired his move as well as his book Vermont Impressions (Far Country Press), a collection of images depicting the timeless Vermont landscape.
