Joan was terrific in helping us redesign our bathroom, from drawing up the plans to selecting the tiles, vanity, and paint to finding the carpenters to do the work. We met a few times on site and in show rooms, and the work was done within a short, intensive work period--a record in our neck of the woods!

As part of a major renovation, Joan designed three full bathrooms and helped us select paint and material colors throughout our house. We could not be happier - countless visitors have praised Joan's color choices, and aesthetically, the bathrooms are among our favorite rooms in the house. Joan is a pleasure to work with, and we'd heartily recommend her to anyone. She possesses a keen eye for style, color, and detail, while also prioritizing functionality. It's great to have an attractive home, but it's just as important that the home suits the way one lives on a day-to-day basis, and Joan fully understands this.

Recently we completed a year long, major addition to our Hudson Valley home and without a doubt the best money we spent during the project was hiring Joan Ffolliott. When it came to the finishes, tile, paint colors, cabinet styles, lighting fixtures, stone countertops, flooring, bathroom hardware, etc, we were completely overwhelmed. Joan's calm professionalism and broad knowledge was just what we needed to to help make these difficult decisions. What really amazed us was Joan's uncanny ability to intuit what we really wanted, even when we weren't sure ourselves or didn't know how to properly communicate our ideas. The result was the house of our dreams, on time and on budget. As stressful as a major renovation to one's home can be, my wife and I look back on the experience as smooth and easy. Our master bathroom needed a serious upgrade - it was original to our 1986 house. On top of needing to be totally renovated the bathroom had the additional challenge of being extremely small (think NYC apartment bathroom small). Joan and her husband Silas came and not only modernized our bathroom with a classic look but also came up with the design idea to make the entire bathroom feel open and larger than it is by doing away with a traditional shower stall and door and having the door to the bathroom be the shower door so the entire bathroom was like a "wet room" - completely tiled and able to withstand water.

Joan helped me choose paint colors six years ago on my house and now again, on two large additions. Her sense of color and mastery of the C2 palette, which is spectacular and very nuanced, is priceless. I wanted to be playful and indeed, the colors she steered me towards are stellar, even six years into living with them. I wouldn't change them. Joan works with you to create the feeling you're going for and doesn't impose a style or direction you are not comfortable with. And, she's fun to work with.

Has spectacular knowledge of her craft, is efficient and exceptionally easy to work with. Multi-talented designer and project manager. Hope to work with Ms Ffolliott again soon.
