My family and I had a wonderful experience working with Jose & Ada of JCM Custom Contractors LLC. They did a full renovation of our kitchen over a year ago, and we still love our kitchen as much as we did that first day. They were very professional and knowledgeable. We own a co-op apartment, but they had no issue getting approved by the board. All documentation, insurance, and licenses were in good order. Ada sent us beautiful designs for our kitchen to make it make it more functional and modern. She really understood what we needed and wanted, and was constantly adding nice touches. Jose is an excellent contractor, and incredibly hard worker. He brought Ada's design to life, and worked on our kitchen as though it were his own. Our kitchen opens into our living room, but Jose sealed off the renovation area to make sure that all the dust and debris was contained and that we were not exposed. He also made sure that we had access to our stove and running water for as long as we could, which we really appreciated. We could not have been happier with the end result, and would definitely use them again for future renovations. I highly recommend them. I also included pictures of our renovated kitchen.

I wish I could give more stars!! I hired JCM as part of a full gut-renovation of my 1920s bathroom. They replaced all of the plumbing, reconfigured and installed a new radiator, installed a KBRS tileable shower pan, and then did the final installation of my fixtures. The choice of the shower pan was very important to me, and they were the only contractors I could find who were familiar with and supported my decision to use the prefabricated shower pan product. Jose and Ada have an incredible work ethic and are absolutely meticulous. I am a highly detail-oriented person and I know I have been a difficult client for many contractors I’ve worked with in the past. I’m almost never satisfied...JCM has been an exception. I am very happy with all of the work that they did. Ada and Jose are warm, kind people who are a pleasure to have in my home. They are great communicators: always quick to reply to a text, email, or call. Also, they were generous with sharing information and advice on the multitude of material and technical choices I was facing with the bathroom. They were a godsend for my project. My only regret was not using them for my entire project, but by the time I found them, I was already in the middle of the project with another contractor. One more note: they have reasonable prices. Their estimate fell right in the middle of the range, and was basically what I had in mind for the work. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again!!

JCM has been respectful, caring and understanding! They did my bathroom after my mom had a stroke and they were extremely helpful. They guided me through the process and made some excellent recommendations with our project. I had no complaints they took care of the cleaning up and despising of the trash from the repair. I had no issues whatsoever. I felt confident and reassured that the job would be done professionally. I would definitely use them again for my project! ❤️

JCM has done various home improvement jobs for me in, two homes, over the past eight years. In 2011, JCM renovated the entire floor of a home in the Bronx. The work included the renovation of a bathroom, kitchen, and the installation of new windows and wrought iron entry doors. In 2013, JCM renovated the entire house in preparation for sale. The work included the renovation of another bathroom and kitchen, restoration of hardwood floors in five rooms and two hallways, installation of a 12 windows, renovation of front entry way (door and stoop), painting the entire inside of the house, roof repairs, installation of a backyard fence, etc. When the house was listed, the first people that viewed it bought it. In 2014, JCM renovated the first floor of my primary house in, Westchester County, to accommodate an aging parent. In addition to major jobs, Jose has never failed to respond to minor job requests over the ensuing years. Jose Mathis has been a godsend. He does almost all of the work himself. He is a “stickler-for-detail;” a craftsman with an artist’s touch. He has always stood behind his work and if you have a question or a need for him to return for any adjustments, his response has, consistently, been immediate. Jose and his associate, Ada, are a joy to work with. I’ve worked with many contractors, over the past 60 years; in a number of states and locations. JCM is the best I’ve ever worked with.

We came across JCM Custom Contractors a few years ago through one off the on-line websites for getting free estimates for home remodeling projects. We got them to do one of our bathrooms and were really impressed with the workmanship and professional attitude towards the work. In March 2016, we got the second bathroom completely gutted and redone. We also replaced the floors in the dining room and kitchen. We are really happy with the work done. We highly recommend JCM Customs Contractors for all your home remodeling projects.

JCM is very professional and thorough. The head contractor is knowledgeable and fair with customers. The final product is always excellent.
