John and his team were fantastic to deal with. We had a barely usable back yard and provided Jovak with a preliminary drawing of what we wanted. They worked patiently with us over a couple months to dial in all of the finer details and material choices. When the crew came to do the work, things went very quickly and everything was done within the time frame thst was originally estimated and they managed to stay pretty close to the budget. We have a small front yard that needed a bit of a makeover. Right from the beginning, we were impressed with the service we received from Jovak. John replied to our initial email and promptly arranged for a meeting to talk about plans and ideas. We appreciated the detailed drawings we received from their designer as this was very helpful for us to envision the end product and make any changes we wanted to make before proceeding. Once we decided on a plan and a budget, they were able to send over a crew and start within a few weeks. The crew that arrived was very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. From day one these guys were on the ball. Starting by giving us a rough estimate and then working with us to bring our vision to life. John and Tyson drew up designs to give us different options with different prices to help us deside what would be best for our budget. Once a design was chosen Tyson drew up a few computer animated pics to let us see what the finished project would look like, this was very helpful. Once a start date was confirmed Chandler and his crew came to do the work, you couldn't ask for a nicer bunch of guys. These guys know what they are doing, very professional and it was no problem for them to answer any of our questions. Great communication, Chandler made a point of checking in with me throughout the project to make sure everything was to my liking. I had a weed pit in front of my mobile and neighbours were threatening to have me evicted for lack of up-keep. I thought I could do it myself, but had to admit that I had no green thumb - it had turned black. I needed to call in the pros. I found Jovak Landscape; their website looked promising so I gave them a call. Their quote was way lower than I'd anticipated, well below budget. In just a few short hours, Ryan Bysterveld transformed my embarrassing weed pit into a magnificent tranquil garden that's the envy of the neighbourhood! Polite, professional, he knows his stuff. After speaking with me, he realized I knew nothing about plants. So I was pleasantly surprised that he chose plants which were super easy to care for. Now, instead of hiding behind closed blinds, I can proudly sit in my new garden and absorb the tranquility.

John and his crew were excellent to work with. Ours was a small project and we were originally told it would be into August before it could be done, sooner perhaps, if we were agreeable to short notice when they had time between larger projects. John gave us the most cost effective solution to our project, as well as more costly options if we chose. Within a week or two of our meeting with John, he called to say the work could be done the following week, July 7th. We couldn't be happier with our landscaping by Jovak. We had already had a design done up by a landscape architect and then with the help of John, Ryan and their team we tweaked the design as they went along. John guided us through the design process and somehow synthesized what must have been an incoherent and vague set of requirements from Anita and me. We really liked the ultimate plan, though, and were happy to hire Jovak for construction. Ryan and his team were the consummate professionals. Any issues were dealt with immediately (often via FaceTime to my office) and the work was top notch.

Jovak did an excellent job of transforming our backyard into a more functional and beautiful outdoor space. Our requirements included low maintenance, working around an existing water feature, a putting green, areas for a fire pit and a shed, several planting areas and a new deck. After a few revisions, John presented a design that met all our needs. During construction, the crew worked meticulously and always consulted us when adaptations needed to be made to the design. When a few minor issues occurred, John and the crew had no hesitation to take the necessary corrective action and ensured that everything was done to our satisfaction. Overall, we are very happy with Jovak's work and have no hesitation to provide a strong recommendation.

We purchased a home 2 years ago, and our small backyard was almost entirely paved over with asphalt. The deck was worn, and the patio cover was leaking. We were impressed with Jovak Landscaping's website, and having met them at the home and garden show, we were very interesting in getting a "real" backyard. We can't afford very much, and it took a while for my wife and I to agree to a plan, and Jovak followed it perfectly. To save money, we opted to do the patio cover and build our own shed later, and do our own landscaping afterwards too. But the construction crew came and demolished the old yard, and put everything together in a little over a week! It is a real professional job, with care given to drainage slopes, and never left a mess. They were happy help with tips and advice, and could not have asked for more

Jovak did a comprehensive custom landscape design and construction for us, including covered outdoor kitchen, multilevel patio, drainage, and lawn and garden. They were knowledgeable and professional during all stages of the design and construction, and they always made sure things were being done right. The crew from Jovak Landscape was a very professional and easy to work with group. Right from the original concept, to the quote and project completion. The landscaping we initially installed around our home was approaching 20 years. Everything was overgrown and looked untidy. The crew installed a block and cap edge with river rock, plants/shrubs and trees. We also added irrigation and lighting. The results were exactly what we had envisioned. We recently hired Jovak to do landscaping projects in both our back and front yards. In both cases we weren't sure what we wanted to do but, with his deep knowledge, John was able to take some vague ideas and turn them into actual plans/estimates that both my wife and I could agree on (which wasn't easy to do :)). My wife and I recently moved into an older home in a neighbourhood we love. The biggest issue we faced was the incredibly overgrown and poorly maintained landscaping and yard. We hired Jovak to design and build our landscaping for our home. From the first day, we were impressed with the courteousness and professionalism. We met John at the Home Show while we were shopping for a company to design and build the backyard of the new house we were moving into the following year. After talking to several companies we narrowed the field down to 3 or 4 and had them do a sketch of their ideas for the space. We met John Van Kammen from Jovak Landscape & Design back in the fall of 2013 when we asked him to give us a design for our back yard. Our back consisted of a small concrete patio and a large lawn. John came and walked around our yard with us and then spent some tine with us to find out what we liked and what we were looking for. He came back with detailed drawing of his plan. We spent quite a bit of time fine tuning the plan and he was very patient with our endless questions and changes. When we had the perfect plan we were given a detailed quote and decided that to achieve our dream back yard it was going to take 2 phases to fit our budget. John came up with a plan to spread the job over 2 phases. In 2013 he created a lovely landscape and then last year they came back to build a covered deck, grill area and stone patio. The finished product draws us into our back yard on a daily basis year round. The covered deck has heaters so it really added another room to our house. We could not be happier! John and his crew were punctual, courteous and extremely hard working. They started and completed as per the schedule we were given and cleaned at the end of each day they were here. Jovak started with a complete blank canvas and turned our yard into the most stunning transformation. This spring they are coming back to give our front yard an overhaul and I know we will be pleased with the outcome.
