We recently decided to remodel three bathrooms in our home, and, after consulting with several contractors, we decided to go with Sam Scott of Adroit Design Remodeling. Now that the project is done, we know we made the right choice. Sam totally transformed our bathrooms from ones that looked old, tired and dull to ones that now look new, vibrant, and stunning. The master bathroom, in particular, has the look and feel of a spa. We can’t believe the transformation. Sam worked closely with our designer to breath life into the vision we had for the bathrooms, kept us apprised of daily progress, and cleaned the work area daily. Everything was done to perfection. He is a skilled artisan and master builder. He’s honest and is a pleasure to work with. We recommend him highly and without hesitation.

I consulted with Sam Scott of Adroit Design Remodeling after reading reviews and viewing pictures of past projects on the website to remodel a master bathroom in desperate need of updating. Sam and Creative Director Martha created 3 design options based on my input and I chose the design that I felt best suited my style. Sam was so easy to work with and willing to listen when I asked for a tweak to the plans at the last minute. Sam works to correct previous construction mistakes, to make things better than what they were before, and to construct a beautifully finished space.

This is the second project completed for us by Adroit Design Remodeling. Sam and his team did an amazing job on our two and a half bathrooms remodeling project. The team was very contentious about limiting the dust and mess throughout the whole project. The remodel included a customized bathroom mirror and medicine cabinet. Their attention to detail alerted us to problems with our roof which we were able to get fixed thus minimizing any future damage. Sam explained every step of the process completely which allowed us to make informed decisions. We are enjoying our bathrooms and wonder why we didn’t do this sooner!

Sam Scott and Martha Fecteau make a great team! They just finished a major master bathroom renovation for us, and it came out really well. They were very supportive throughout the layout and design process, providing lots of guidance and suggestions which were very much appreciated. I had Sam out to remodel my guest bathroom and it turned out perfect. His attention to detail is outstanding and he's really great at picking/helping you pick the right fixtures and details. Even during his estimate he was super thorough with everything that needed to be done and made suggestions that I hadn't even though of which really helped to complete the space. His crew is also great and the plumber and electrician he had out were fantastic. We will definitely be hiring him for any future remodeling projects and highly recommend Adroit Design Remodeling.

I’ve had the privilege of working on several projects throughout Northern VA and MD with Sam and Adroit Design Remodeling. Sam is a true professional who goes above and beyond for all of his clients. It’s hard to find individuals these days who still care about the quality of their work, but Sam is one of the rare ones. Planning for my later years with increasing physical diminishment, I used the building and design team of ADROIT DESIGN REMODEL(Sam Scott and Martha Fecteau) to undertake an extensive ‘Aging in Place’ remodel of my cherished home of 43 years. The remodel includes an additional powder room on main floor, creating a large master bedroom by removing a wall between 2 bedrooms, creating a large, extraordinary master bath with a 5x6 curb-less shower that includes a folding teak bench, moving W/D from basement up next to bedroom, and creating a beautiful office with built in cabinets in the old dining room. All suggested ADA/ fall prevention improvements were incorporated. Both Sam and Martha were terrific to work with. They drew on years of experience and collaboration, pulling together tremendous skill and craftsmanship in the design and execution of the project. They creatively grappled with modifications provoked by the nature of my 1955 house. They both have steady, calming personas.They were incredibly patient and accommodating to health challenges of my own during construction. Martha brought all products to me to choose from, saving me a lot of time and energy. Sam was on the project everyday — either managing the skilled laborers he brought in to do the plumbing, electricity, dry wall, tiling, etc. or crafting himself some beautiful, original wainscoting to dress up the new hallway. Sam did a lovely job on our steps and rail in our sunroom. In addition, he fixed our deck steps that were loose. He is an extremely talented professional. We would definitely recommend him to family and friends.

Adroit did some work for us after we had a full HVAC install. We needed drywall around the new ductwork, installation of some cabinets in the space behind the ductwork, and creation of an attic access panel where the HVAC guys had gone up in the ceiling. It was nearly impossible for us to find a contractor in the middle of summer, but Sam squeezed us in between jobs. He budgeted 4 days for the job and quoted us a very fair price. He showed up on time each day, was super friendly, and finished the job on time and in budget. He kept his work area very tidy, and cleaned up carefully after each day (including random debris he found in our yard that the door installers had left behind!). Even though this was a small job for him, he didn’t rush through it, slap up some drywall and call it a day. Instead, he took his time and did real quality work. He also patched up some holes from the previous homeowner, corrected some HVAC ductwork installation issues, and gave helpful advice about various things in the house. I would not hesitate to recommend Adroit, and we look forward to using them again as we work through the loooong list of projects for our home.

The service provided by this company was excellent. From design to finish I was a intricate part of this major renovation. Sam, Joyce and Donald work was professional and clean at all times. They kept the welfare and safety of my 78 year-old-sister and my cat ET, at home while the work was being done work, paramount at all times. At every step of the process you could see the exquisite attention to detail Sam put into to his work. He is the consummate professional.

We first used Adroit to replace our 32 year old deck with a screened in porch. We were so impressed with their work that we later hired them to renovate our 50 year old bathrooms, a basement bedroom, and a laundry room, plus a couple of small storage areas. The Adroit team provides quality construction, a strong aesthetic eye, and exceptional attention to detail throughout the project experience. Sam and Michael transformed all the problem areas of our aging home into attractive, well-designed living spaces that we are proud to show off to our friends and neighbors. They came up with clever, workable solutions that took into account our space limitations, special circumstances, and personal preferences. Throughout the process, they were responsive to our family’s needs and concerns, kept us well informed about every aspect of the work as it progressed, and were an absolute pleasure to work with. We look forward to using them for future projects.
