We worked with Judy to re-work our kitchen and master bathroom after we bought a beautiful older home that had a few quirks. We used the "Design in a Box" option, which was perfect for our needs. Working with Judy was delightful. What I especially appreciated about Judy was that she provided a large variety of options (we had configuration A, B, and C for our kitchen). She specifically called out areas where we might be able to reduce costs, which assisted in keeping the project within our budget. The ultimately led to us re-use all our existing cabinets, which resulted in a major cost savings for the kitchen renovation project. I also appreciated her very specific picks amongst colors and materials. We LOVED the green color Judy selected for the kitchen. Picking exact colors was especially hard for us, so being able to trust in Judy for specifics made the project much simpler. Finally, the design in the box was useful because we are able to keep returning to it as we go through different phases of the project. We are continually able to re-reference specific materials/colors/design styles. I would highly recommend working with Judy for your project. It enabled my wife and I to confidently complete the kitchen and bathroom we wanted, with freedom for us to be creative where we wanted, and to have Judy guide where we needed!

I reached out to Judy Cook Interiors after seeing the reviews on Houzz. I am so happy I did! Judy was positively delightful! Having never used an interior designer before I was a little nervous about the process. I needed help with what to do about a wall air conditioner, how to arrange furniture, whether to put in hardwood or carpet, how to hang curtains, etc. It was all very daunting to me. During our initial meeting she graciously listened to my project offering inspirational ideas and possibilities I had not considered. Judy followed up providing several floor plans and color palettes which on my own would not have thought to use that were beautiful. Judy’s drawings are detailed down to the measurements of each piece, and clearly illustrate how a room will look with various layouts taking the mystery out of the process. She stays in touch and is available for any questions.

Judy did a fantastic job helping us redecorate our dining room and foyer. She guided us with expertise in picking out colors, fabrics and tile. The whole project came out better than I expected and we are delighted with the new look!!

I can't say enough positive things about Judy and how she transformed our house into a home. We moved into our house 2.5 years ago and beyond immediately painting, we decided to live in it for awhile to see how we ultimately wanted to use the space. When we decided it was time to start purchasing furniture and decorate our family room/dining room, I was lost and intimidated. My husband suggested hiring an interior designer and at first I was hesitant, thinking our project and budget were too small for anyone to be interested. Judy put my fears to rest after our first meeting, and I knew she was the perfect person for the job. Judy took us through it step by step - from room layout options, palette selections, fabric choices, furniture selections, rugs, and accessories. She is knowledgeable and really listens to her clients. We have young children and 3 cats, so all of her suggestions were not only aesthetic, but functional and practical for our everyday living. She is also one of the easiest and nicest professionals I have ever worked with. My husband and I are probably a designer's worst nightmare, we have trouble making decisions and a tendency to overthink everything. Judy was so patient and always listened to our questions/concerns, and then would come back with more options/information. The transformation of our family room and dining room are amazing, Judy is a true artist! The spaces are beautiful and functional now. Judy created the warmth we were seeking, to make our house, our home!

We worked with Judy over several months and have beem wonderfully pleased with the results. She gave us time to really decide the scope of the project and she was willing to work with us and guided us to achieve the look we were really trying to achieve. We never worked with an interior designer before so we were a little apprehensive about the process. She put us at ease and followed up with us throughout the process. She was also mindful of our financial constraints and helped us to save money along the way. For example, she was on vacation in Vermont when she saw a small rug she thought would look great in our hallway. She emailed a picture and was able to buy it for us at a discount. She also "shopped " out of our basement so we were able to use bookcases that work well with all our new pieces. I think the total cost was less than $12,000 including her reasonable fee. Judy designed several layouts of the room and pointed out the features of each. She showed us how to transform a great room with more intimate layouts that truly utilized the focal points of the room.. We are so sure you will have a wonderful experience that we recommend Judy very highly.

Judy Cook is an outstanding designer and I heartily recommend her services. We recently moved to another house and sought to use our existing furniture and accessories. Our former house had a very different layout. So rather than designing a new space I asked Judy to look at what we have, how we set it up in the new house and to give us suggestions on how to make it all work better. She toured the house, asked many lifestyle questions and thoughtfully gave her designer perspective. She praised what she felt was working well, gave ideas to tweek things to make them work better and offered ideas that we can use in the future to maximize our space. She addressed many of my concerns and gave advice that did not involve spending a lot of money. She even went through our artwork/pictures and gave advice on where to place them. She listened, offered her opinion and was so pleasant and professional. Judy wrote up a detailed description of the ideas we discussed and offered three detailed drawings of our family room layout. I would not hesitate to call on her again and assure you that you will love working with her.

WOW! WOW! WOW! Cannot emphasize enough that our house would not be the home it is without the help of Judy. From the first phone call where I explained we lived in Tennessee and would need a lot of long distance help, to the enjoyment of meeting her in person to the final touches, Judy is thorough professional who is helpful from the budget talks to palette selection, materials and finishes, fabrics, furniture, accessories, etc. She asked the right questions to find out our aesthetic and we are more than delighted with the results. She did everything from ordering appliances and waiting at the house for shipments to making the beds! Whether you live near her in Connecticut or not (she offers a long-distance decorating assist), you will not be disappointed.

Judy helped us to renew our master bedroom and bathroom. She understood the scope of the job (in terms of cost and our attention span) and provided us with great ideas and appropriate samples for tub surround material, wall and floor tiles, wall paint colors, draperies, and carpeting. The overall effect is harmonious and elegant - just what I wanted. Moreover, she kept us on track. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

I called on Judy Cook for a design consultation and ended up hiring her for my project. I needed to redesign a comfortable living room for my senior mother to use. It required placing her lift armchair and allowing space for her walker yet not making it look like a senior center. I also wanted to incorporate a light nautical theme to the space. Judy came up with some excellent choices and ordered custom pieces. She was there for the delivery and set up and did all the finishing touches herself. We love it. Judy is a professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend her.

I hired Judy after hearing great things about her from people around town and upon reviewing her project portfolio. Initially I wanted help with my new home office design that involved transforming my children's playroom into a professional work space. We ended up expanding the project to include a living room makeover and kitchen coordination to create a space that flowed where our family does most of its living. Judy was a pleasure to work with. She has a great eye for detail and coordination, is flexible and accommodating to individual preferences and is creative in design.
