And in 1995, with the inspiration to continue doing what I loved, the support of satisfied clients and a solid business plan, I founded KH Window Fashions, Inc. My philosophy is simple and based on my early success designing for family and friends. I realized the value and key to my success was truly knowing and understanding my client. I knew their style and what they envisioned and I understood how to incorporate my design ideas with their personal and sentimental accents. The result in each case has been beautiful custom designed interiors that complement their lifestyle. My design talents are proven, and I have worked hard to earn the interior design credentials that allow me to introduce myself to you with industry recognition, professional certifications and industry resources needed to deliver custom design services, brand products and expert craftsmanship. With you in mind, I'll make the custom selections available to me as a professional interior designer and bring you design choices in answer to your style- all from the comfort of your home. She made gorgeous, high quality valances for my room and 10 pillows throughout the house. She also has a detailed knowledge about Hunter Douglas products and helped me to select right shades for my 2 bathrooms.. I have been working with Karen for the past 15 years and it has been a great collaboration! Karen is an incredibly thoughtful decorator. She has impeccable taste that she marries beautifully with my own. Wether is choosing a fabric or a style, she always manages to come up with the right ideas for all the rooms she helped us decorate. She has plenty of books to chose fabrics from, but it is never an overwhelming task as she guides through the options in the direction one is leaning towards, and the final choice has been constantly the correct one! Her quotes are precise and reasonable, and her timing has always been accurate and on par with our needs. The quality of the work is always excellent, with incredible care for even the smallest details. A truly gifted professional!

Karen was instrumental in helping to select the appropriate fabric for my windows. The material that she chose was both eye-catching, yet unobtrusive. Karen! The window treatments you created for my home office are absolutely beautiful! This space could rival a 5th avenue design firm! The navy patterned floor to ceiling curtains cascade beautifully over the french doors. Dark enough to keep unwanted sunlight off of my computer screen, but not so dark that they overpower the space. The similarly patterned fabric shades keep the cold out and the let perfect amount of light in. The reverse navy/white pattern looks extremely professional. The matching top treatments on the street facing windows really tie the entire studio together. I was nervous going with such a dark color, but your assessment of how light would bounce off of white walls was spot on. I love how the navy curtains coordinate seamlessly with the light gray carpeting. Couldn't be happier with this investment in our working space!

Arteriors Designer Finishes

Karen did an unusual project for me which was to re-work existing window treatments. I am well aware of the amazing work that she produces for her clients and know that this was probably not her favorite kind of work but she did me a big favor and created a silk purse out of a sows ear. The curtains had sentimental value and by transforming them into pleated curtains that looked professionally done I was able to keep them as a much loved memento of making them with my late mother.

We recently undertook a large renovation project and on recommendation, we contacted Karen for the finishing touches. Karen had such great style ideas and suggestions for fabrics, and the final products have really brought the whole project full circle. She has ugreat talent and is very professional and personal. She was able to see my vision and put it all together so well! We ended up with 3 rooms of window treatments as well as a window seat cushion and several coordinating pillows. I highly recommend Karen's services and will definitely go to her for all of our custom needs in the future!
