Dovetail Group

Working with the Dovetail team over the past two years has been nothing short of outstanding. They guided us through three major projects—each one unique, complex, and transformative—and delivered results that exceeded our expectations at every step. Dovetail designed a stunning master bathroom renovation that completely reimagined the space, blending elegance, functionality, and craftsmanship. They then tackled a full basement redesign, creating a brand‑new bedroom, a larger and more functional office, and beautifully curated furnishing selections that made the entire lower level feel elevated and cohesive. But perhaps the most remarkable transformation was outside. Their architectural vision for our exterior—complete with a thoughtful new color palette and an expansive deck and patio design—turned our outdoor space into something truly spectacular. Throughout the entire process, the Dovetail team was patient, collaborative, and incredibly professional. Their expertise made the journey smooth, enjoyable, and inspiring. We genuinely could not have done any of this without their guidance and creativity. Thank you, Dovetail, for helping bring our home to life. We’re grateful for your partnership and thrilled with the results.

I contacted Dovetail because I wanted a remodel of our master bathroom and possibly our upstairs bar area, stairs, and fireplace. After I saw the choices they had picked out for all of the areas there was no way I was saying no to any area. They even suggested choices for the garage entry so that everything would flow on the main floor and wall paper for the master bedroom to finish the look. There is no one else I would want to work with than the Dovetail Group. They are a great group to work with and have amazing ideas. I can’t wait for the next project with them!

Fabulous experience with a great outcome! Process was straightforward from start to finish. Dovetail listened, provided options and incorporated our wishes at every turn. Would absolutely recommend them and Studz Construction.

We LOVED working with Dovetail - their ENTIRE team was amazing! They helped us with a complete first floor remodel. We wanted walls gone, kitchen bigger, open space and they provided that and more! They even moved the stairs to the basement to allow for a better flow on our first floor. You would never know this is the same house - INCREDIBLE design ideas and incredible team that made renderings that actually came to life. They helped with choices for flooring, tile, paint, lighting, furniture, fabric, and more. If we weren't sure on an option, they provided more options. They truly wanted us to me happy and love our new space and WE DO!! They also connected us with an amazing general contractor and remodeling duo at Innovative Homes and Remodeling, Zac and Brian. Couldn't ask for a better team and experience. You will be so happy if you work with Liz and Kayla and the entire team at Dovetail!!

We had a great experience working with the Dovetail team! We worked with them to refresh our entire basement, which includes a bedroom, bathroom, bar area/sink, living room and small sitting area. The 3D rendering of the various options and ideas at the beginning of the project were amazing for us to be able to visualize the major changes we were going to make and narrow in on our favorite finishes. We loved the contractor they recommended for our project and would work with them again for any future projects as well. We use our newly updated space daily and love the professional, but welcoming and comfortable feel of the space that the team helped us create! Now we're working with Dovetail to refresh our flooring and paint throughout the entire house - we definitely recommend Liz and Kayla and their team.

We were looking to update our lower level while still maintaining some of the original features that we love. Liz and Kayla were great at offering unique ideas when considering options of what we could do to reimagine some of the areas. Very happy with their creative ideas!

We hired Dovetail to help us refresh the main level of our home which included the kitchen. Their unique approach to design helped us navigate the process - select an excellent contractor to execute the project - and in the end deliver a "new" home for us to live in. We walk into our kitchen every morning with a smile - they nailed it! We highly recommend Dovetail and also recommend taking their advice in the process. Honestly, we were shocked at the beginning when we were discussing prices and timelines, but in the end, the project was completed 'on time' and it was the easiest check I ever wrote. Period.

If you are like me and know what you like but really want a professional to handle your home upgrade, Dovetail is fabulous. The group guides you through the entire process from design to construction and placement of finishing touches. My home looks amazing! So happy we found them.

Dovetail Group designed and coordinated our master and spare bathroom remodels, and the experience was above and beyond what I could have imagined for such a large project. Every time I walk into one of the remodeled bathrooms I think about how much I love it! We didn't come in with many strong opinions about the project, and Dovetail Group easily incorporated the few things that were very important to us while providing ideas that really made the project what we needed. The design process was fun, and they worked with our contractor (we used one they work with regularly) to make sure everything went smoothly. The few problems we encountered (eg: shipping delays and items damaged during shipping) were handled by Dovetail Group and the contractors, and we didn't have to worry about any of it. The entire project was as stress free as we could have hoped for, and we will definitely be using their services for all of our future home projects!

Spectacular, talented, efficient, resourceful, trustworthy, service orientated, enjoyable. We hired them for our new build project and I could not have done it without them. The end result is amazing.

Our experience with DoveTail Group was outstanding. We hired them for an entire remodel of our kitchen in 2021. Going through this process can be stressful, and worse during a pandemic, but the DoveTail Group made it fun and stress free! From the first meeting, Kayla and Liz were fantastic and we immediately got the sense they were subject matter experts in design and construction. The first meeting was at our home, which I found out later, was their approach to get a sense of our personal style. Both listened to the ideas we had for the kitchen. Within a short time, and with emailing/texting ideas we both found on Houzz, we had a rough schematic of what our new kitchen would look like. The DoveTail Group impressed us many times throughout the project, but their insight and expertise to match a Hubbardton Forge light fixture we bought years ago to purchase a larger style for over the kitchen island was impressive! The end result is a space that blows us away every single day. We feel it really does look like something from a home design magazine.

I wanted to brighten up my kitchen with lighter countertops and new island. The quartz countertops look great, and I love my new accent-colored island. They also recommended several other changes that were cost effective and made a real impact. Always receive lots of compliments when I entertain family and friends. Dovetail Group was wonderful to work with and did all the heavy lifting. Thank you, Dovetail Group!!

Dovetail group does not disappoint! They are a talented, professional and experienced team. As a custom furniture business, we have worked alongside them on several projects and each time they prove to be creative, stylish and high-end quality.

I have worked with Dovetail since the beginning as an industry professional. Dovetail is incredibly fun to work with, talented and professional. They are probably the most organized and creative design team in this area and I have been in this industry close to 20 years, Hire Dovetail for your next project!

I’ve used them for several projects because I want to do something more every time they complete a project because their work is so good! I think they are great at getting a good feel for their customers which is hard to find. The best thing is how their projects don’t drag out. Every time I met with them, they make the next appointment before they left so at no time was I waiting on them! They are great at laying out the project scope, the cost, and offer a few different options for each project which allowed me to see what the “after” could look like and we were able to mix and match different elements of one project with another, if needed. The whole process was fun, and I’m very un creative so this is usually a process I get stressed about! I can’t wait to use them again!!!

We were so happy with the remodel that Kayla and Liz did for our kitchen and two baths that a year later we hired them to re-design two bedrooms upstairs, including creation of an amazing and beautiful walk-in closet from what used to be unused attic space! Can-do approach, wonderful ideas, professional project management - all key factors in great results Dovetail delivered. A definite 5-star recommendation!

Love, love, love my newly decorated house! This team was fabulous to work with and brought so many new ideas to our plan. The end result was spot on with what I had in mind. I wouldn't think twice about hiring this group again, they are professional, fun, and do a wonderful job!

Dovetail comes highly recommended. They did a fantastic job remodeling my kitchen and bathroom to my specific recommendations and I could not be happier. Kayla has an eye for modern interior design trends so if you are looking to update your home or business, you should look no further than Dovetail.

Creative, this group will work with you to design what you need in a space. They listen to your ideas and communicate with the builders and vendors well so there is less stress for you. They respond quickly to inquiries and are also well acquainted with people in the industry so you have good options. The project costs below were just for the design and coordination costs...not the entire project, since I'm only reviewing Dovetail, not the builders they brought in. The pictures were taken before I had all the artwork up on the walls.

I have completed many projects along side these two very skilled and professional ladies. This company provides very high end quality results. They have been doing this a long time and know what they are doing when it comes to remodels. They always keep the right people around them to get the work done well. If you are looking for a great product and great people to work with on your remodel this is the company you need to look into.

We love our new kitchen, bathroom and the other areas that Dovetail helped make so awesome! Really professional and excellent eye for details those gals are! I love them like sisters! They listened to us and gave us lots of great ideas to consider. We couldn't be happier. Thanks girls! You were AWESOME!

Liz, Kayla, and Allison designed a beautiful family room, sunroom, and office space for us. The results are amazing! We absolutely love our transformed rooms. Dovetail Group stayed within our budget. We would highly recommend them as they were professional, very talented, and easy to work with.

THE BEST! So many wonderful ideas, prompt, enthusiastic, creative and more. I looked forward to our meetings! We had fun and our house looks amazing. A++!

I highly recommend these talented ladies. They listened to my ideas, and made great suggestions. Professionals, but not intimidating, they were easy to work with, and completed my job on time and on budget. I would recommend them with no reservations, and hope to use their services again.

I hired dovetail group to help with our kitchen renovation. From the beginning, I felt very comfortable working with Kayla and Liz. They are organized, friendly and efficient. This was our first big home project and they made it at seamless as possible. Liz helped me pick out all of the finishings and I thought she did a fantastic job taking into account the style of the rest of my home. It is clear Dovetail Group has an extensive professional network as evidenced by the relationships they have with their subcontractors and everyone at the showrooms. They adhered to my budget and I never felt pressure to overspend. They also had great knowledge of not only the aesthetics of the materials but also the quality. The whole process was easy and stress-free from beginning to end.
