We previously worked with Peter Swindley and he was wonderful, practical and cost conscious. Unfortunately he passed away, and the firm now is very different. For our current project (what we thought was a small project), the costs have gotten completely out of control with a complicated architectural design. If your project has unlimited funds, these architects will do a good job with a good design. However, if you care about costs, then you need to find a cost conscious practical architectural team elsewhere.

I’m very sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the costs of your project. Unfortunately, in the last few years costs have skyrocketed in all areas of our business – construction, materials, employee cost of living – and we have had to adjust our estimates and billing accordingly. We strive to adapt our work to the client’s needs and goals, but some projects are more intensive than they seem at first glance and we try to communicate to our clients clearly when we foresee this. I hope you feel comfortable discussing this with us further so that we can scale back the cost to what you are more comfortable with!

I have talked to Peter Swindley about doing a bathroom addition. He has handled two previous remodels on our home prior to our ownership. He was very helpful, and we look forward to using his firm in the not too distant future.

Very recently Peter brought us on board a remodel/addition that involved replacing existing windows as well as providing new product throughout. Peter's architectural expertise was soon to be found invaluable, as any homeowner would attest, in regards to his ability to advise, design, and manage major projects. Homeowners would be exceedingly wise to retain architectural competence such as shown by Peter!
