Wonderful job completed by Kellner! Couldn’t be happier with the refresh on my grand staircase. They nailed the spindles and the creation of the new handrail. Look no further than Kellner!

The stairs turned out great and the staff worked with us to help us figure out exactly what we would need and like. Ron, Don, and Dave were all very helpful on the phone and in person. Improvement is needed in returning calls/emails and in punctuality.

Kellner Stair & Rail just completed the installation of a wood and iron railing in my bi-level home. These guys are very professional from the measuring, suggestions and the installation. Everything was on time and on budget. They are true craftsman and I would highly recommend them.

We had some delays due to the color of the stain. Don did his best to work with us and make sure the final product met our expectations. We could not be more happy with how our new railings look. The installers (led by Dave) were punctual and made sure we were never without railings during the install (we have a six year old). The job site was always clean to the point that you could hardly tell we were under constrction. The Kellner team was some of the best contractors I've ever worked with and would not hesitate to use them again. Happy does not begin to describe how we feel about our new railings!

We have a small home and a tricky situation remodeling the third floor - trying to change an old un-workable staircase out for a new spiral stair. Kellner Stair and Rail came to our home at short notice and spent over an hour just discussing our needs and the challenges of working in our small space. The solution they provided was thoughtful and resourceful. Don in particular was extremely helpful and able to come up with ideas that not even our builders had suggested. The sales associate and installer exceeded expectations; both were exceptionally courteous, knowledgeable, efficient and experienced. We wanted to "refresh" the look of our outdated split entry way from the 1970's. After having the outside of the house remodeled with new roof, siding, windows and front door, it was now time to continue the updates inside. We contacted Kellner Stair and Rail before the Pittsburgh Home Show in March 2015 and was put onto the schedule for May. After our initial in-home consultation where measurements and estimated pricing was done, we were given an interactive website to work with to create our desired entryway. Working with the website gave us the opportunity to try many different looks textures and colors. After receiving our final pricing based on the products we chose, the artisans went to work and built, stained, painted and created our dream home entry. We provided the particular white paint for the stair kick plates and trim, along with the hardwood flooring that we wanted on the two landings and they did the rest. The demolition and construction was done Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday. All that was left to do was for the stain and clear coat to be put onto the hand rails (which cannot be done until everything is completely constructed). The staining/coating was done in a two-step process over two days. The work ethic and craftsmanship that was put into this project was exceptional. Dave and Yevin were very neat and clean during the messiest part of the construction and always willing to step aside if anyone needed to get from one floor to the next. Don has done a beautiful job of matching the stain color from a small hard wood floor sample to make our new Oak stairs and hand rails look flawless and "Stairs that get stares!".

I hired Kellner Stair and Rail company to install a new handrail going from the first floor to the second floor of my 100 year old house. I chose Kellner based on their website plus a visit to their shop. I was looking for a company that specialized in railing and after visiting their shop I was convinced they could do the job. To make the job easier I took pictures of what I presently had and what I wanted installed and met with Don Devers who worked up an estimate. Don was knowledgeable and easy to work with. After I hired Kellner, Don Devers made a visit to our home to see the job and take final measurements. Dave Pazer was the installer and completed the job in one day. It was obvious, Dave is very good at what he does. I liked how he included me in on all decisions during the installation. My wife and I were very pleased with the final product and wouldn't hesitate to hire Kellner again.

My contractor needed to construct a set of new stairs, a spindled railing at the top of the stairs...and two railings coming up two flights of stairs for a high end multi-unit property. In the past, we have purchased, constructed...and installed these higher end Victorian finishes for our properties. However, after reviewing the quote from Kellner and having purchased much of our custom wood from them in the past...my contractor suggested that we have them provide the finished product...along with installing it. As promised and scheduled, they installed the stair case first...and then the railings (on a different day). Their workmanship and efficiency was excellent. Their price was aggressive enough that we opted to have them supply these items vs procuring the materials for these items and consuming at least a few days of labor to construct and install. Kellner is an excellent supplier/contractor...and we plan to use them in the future for these types of applications...vs buidling/installing them ourselves. Using Kellner allowed us to focus on other aspects of the job...and we lost nothing terms of finish and quality. Thank you Ron from Kellner. David

Kellner manufactured three staircases and two handrailings/spindle sets for my North Side home. My family lived in this 1871 house for 100 years, so its ongoing restoration is very meaningful to me. Moreover, I have an advanced degree in Historic Preservation and am extremely particular! Ron and his team deliver the highest quality products and do superb installation. Several people have remarked that the handrailings and spindles look like they're original to the house. I would recommend Kellner's products and services to anyone.
