Dave and his team did the timber work & SIPS panel installation on my new build lake house. It turned out better than I could have imagined. The team at Kettle River Timberworks were great to work with every step of the way. My builder commented many times how great their crew was to work with.

Working with David, Michael and Angela on our timber roof project in Whistler was a terrific experience. Their customer service and attention to detail is second to none. The finished product is perfection and I'm still amazed on how they can fabricate these massive timbers with such precision. We engaged Kettle River to do the design and installation of a complete timber roof structure as well as numerous architectural details including staircase, mantle and exterior portico. They worked seamlessly with our architect and builder throughout the project and are responsible for making the look and feel of our home truly special. Their work was creative and striking throughout and is noted and commented on by every visitor to our home, Kettle River was on time and on budget with every aspect of the project, was flexible in making changes and additions and were easy to work with. Now that our build project is nearing completion we are even more appreciative of the experience we had with Kettle River Timberworks. With doing the build through the winter months it was amazing how they delivered on time and got us closed in just as the snow was falling. David and his crew exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend Kettle River Timberworks.

We loved the look of timber frame but were working with a budget on our new cabin. Kettle River ("KR") worked with our budget and had no objections to us doing all the pre-work by ourselves. We had a one week delay that was not related to KR and they were accommodating to our timetable. The quality of the timber frames was outstanding. Dave went out of his way to assist us in providing the pine materials we wanted for our ceiling even though this is not normally a product he deals with. KR gave us great recommendations to keep the price down and even lent us tools after they were gone to assist us in finishing our construction. The installation of the timber frame was seamless despite the pouring rain and Dave & Matthew were a pleasure to work with. We have a second phase to our project (side porch and entrance) and we look forward to working with them again. We would highly recommend this company.

Dave provided excellent consultation in our hybrid renovation, with great ideas for the external look, and how to incorporate timber frame in our large internal space. The timber frame design flowed seamlessly from the front door, all the way through the great room, kitchen, dining room and right out on to the back deck. Dave's crew was meticulous in installation, professional, friendly, and efficient. The timbers and T&G panelling are top quality. We receive compliments from all who visit our home!

KRTW supplied the frame for our 1600 sqft hybrid home in northern Saskatchewan. My only regret about dealing with Kettle River is that I didn't get them involved sooner in the planning stage. Architects are great, but they aren't timber framers. No pressure sales with Dave, just practical, honest advice. The workmanship was of the highest quality - I would not hesitate to recommend Dave and his team to anyone looking to build anything timber frame.

I have hired Kettle River Timberframe for two separate projects, on Salt Spring Island The first was a tradional timberframe cottage that very much satisfied our needs at that time. The second more recent project is a contemperary modern home with exposed timber trusses that span the width of the entire house. Not only are the trusses structurally superb they have a simple elegance that is noticed by all that enter our home. Dave was professional and his crew were excellent they were on schedule despite some unpredictable weather challenges. Kettle River will be my first choice for any future projects

Kettle River Timberworks undertook the design, creation, and installation of the timberframe in my hybrid timberframe home. They did an outstanding job and we are extremely pleased with the result. They were, at all times, responsive, helpful and provided timely and pertinent advice. They worked well with my General Contractor, and in fact Kettle River Timberworks, identified an major error in the roof plans that the house designer had made, and the General Contractor had missed. Their integrity was clearly demonstrated when they stuck to their estimate even when they had to absorb unanticipated additional crane rental costs. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
