About Us

Servicing central New Jersey for over 32 years, Kiefer Landscapes Inc. is an environmentally conscious, award-winning design/build company offering a wide range of design and installation services. Established in the early 1980’s, we have grown steadily by focusing on residential projects with attention to detail and service. We take pride in being professional and innovative. We execute traditional, long-lasting construction and planting techniques, working judiciously with your landscape investment dollar. Our design services are provided by a certified landscape architect with over 38 years of field experience. The essential factors in guiding our landscape designs are mature size and appropriate spacing of plant materials, minimal maintenance, astute plant selection, sequence of bloom and complimenting the architecture. Our staff is comprised of experienced, bilingual foremen supported by technicians, equipment operators and laborers. Our commitment to weekly staff meetings, safety meetings, ongoing training seminars and job reviews ensure a safe working environment, individual growth, positive teamwork and a professional job. We focus on one job at a time to minimize distractions, promote continuity and enhance production timelines. Your job is our priority. Matt and his team are fantastic! We started working with Matt a year ago to re-landscape our front and backyards. Matt is so knowledgeable about plants and made great suggestions. His team is efficient and does a beautiful job from start to finish. Matt is so responsive, too. Since the major overhaul last summer, he’s been back to add new plants, refresh things, and replace or move plants that aren’t doing well. He is quick to respond to a phone call or text. Our yard went from an eyesore to a beautiful garden, and we are now so happy to spend time out there!

We have used Kiefer Landscapes for a number of years and are quite satisfied. Jobs range from fence acquisition and installation to berm and bed design/building, bush planting and periodic mulching. The property has always looked well, both in our view and that of visitors. I recommend his skills, talents, dedication and follow through.

The opportunity to work for The Church of St. Ann in Lawrenceville, NJ has been very fulfilling. Cloister Garden, Front Entrance, Grandparents Garden have all been wonderful projects. Planting more bulbs every year really shows in the Spring. Greart sequence of bloom. And planting a tree for Earth Day this year was great.

Matt and his crew provided a complete renovation of our side and backyard areas, including provides huge area of pachysandra for minimal care. Workers arrived on time, or texted if there was any delay ( only 1 or 2), removed all the debris and made our grounds look wonderful for the first time in years. We are using Matt again this year to do areas we skipped last year, his areas made the ones not included look really bad. The new grass look fabulous! I whole heartedly recommend Matt, but don't take my time frame!!!! Ann & Steve Elliott, Ewing

Kiefer Landscapes does all our spring and fall clean up yard work. They work quickly and efficiently to complete the work. They identify any additional issues that need addressing in our yard and provide recommendations. They are always personable and easy to have around, and work around our schedule. And the end result is fantastic - we are always so thrilled with our newly planted and beautified yard.

I can't say enough good things about working with Matt and his team. From the beginning Matt kept appointments and listened to everything we wanted for our project. He gave us a comprehensive estimate and stuck with the project's objectives and budget. He completed our project in great time and we were so pleased with the final results. His vision and ours came together beautifully and the plantings and sidewalk choices we made together are perfect. Matt is the best combination of professional and approachable. In addition to our annual spring "clean up," we have come back to year after year with various projects: extending a fence, cleaning up a fish pond, making a great hammock and seating area. He has always been willing to listen to what we want to try to maintain ourselves (which he gives pointers on how to do) and what we just want his crew to maintain. We can't say enough and recommend him highly.
