Kitchen Associates provided and installed beautiful handcrafted cherry cabinets and soapstone counters for us. We could not be more pleased with the outcome, beauty and functionality of the project. What we appreciated most, though, was the thoughtful and problem-free approach that made what could have been a nightmare an entirely pleasant and enjoyable experience. This is particularly important to us because I acted as my own general contractor for our new kitchen (NOT something that I had EVER planned to do), and KA integrated collaboratively, seamlessly and effortlessly with all of the other professionals who worked on the job. I am head over heels in love with my new kitchen designed by Kitchen Associate’s Ruth Bergstrom! My contractor recommended Kitchen Associates and Ruth came highly recommended to me by a mutual friend. Ruth and I hit it off immediately. She patiently walked me through the design process and the myriad material options (cabinets, trim, countertops, hardware, etc.). My house is a 100-year-old Cape with a relatively small kitchen. Like most Capes there is a window or door on each wall and one wall features both. Ruth created a lovely design that provides much needed storage space for my tableware collections. The kitchen's layout and work triangle are very efficient and comfortable to work in with a second cook or guests at the large island enjoying wine or cocktails while I cook. I receive many compliments about my new kitchen; several friends have even asked if I made it bigger. A floor-to-ceiling half wall that separated what was once a dining room and galley kitchen (a renovation done by the prior owner) came down in the renovation opening up the space. The project was exceptionally smooth thanks to Ruth, Lonnie, and Brian as well as my contract Peter Berube Construction. The construction period from first day of demolition to when I could move back into the kitchen and start cooking was two months, which included Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays. A special shout out to Tim who installed the cabinets and took great pride in ensuring they were lined up correctly. No easy feat in a 100-year-old house whose walls, floors, and ceilings are not exactly plumb. I highly recommend Kitchen Associates! Everyone who worked on my kitchen was professional, delightful to work with, and extremely focused on ensuring that my kitchen renovation was successful. Thank you, Kitchen Associates!

From the very beginning, working with our designer Rich Dupre, the experience was incredible. Rich’s insight and expertise brought all our dreams to fruition. Brian, the site manager was so easy to deal with, and always treated the project like it was his own house. Brian dealt with all the contractors, and handled any problems, making the experience as stress free as possible. Tim, the lead carpenter was incredible. His skill, and care in which he treated the project, was simply unmatched by any contractor i’ve ever dealt with. Every person we met, worked very hard to give us the best product possible. We purchased all our appliances at Percy’s in Worcester. Kitchen Associates worked seamlessly with Percy’s to ensure everything fit, and all deliveries were at the appropriate time.

I had the pleasure of working with Ruth B on our bathroom. Ruth was wonderful!! She had suggestions in regards to the products we purchased (vanity, hardware, vanity top with matching shower step) that I would not have considered and the final product was perfect!!! I would not hesitate to work with Kitchen Associates again..

Working with Ruth at Kitchen Associates was a great experience. My first reno project, a complete kitchen renovation, came out beautifully. Everyone involved with the project from there was professional, prompt, reliable, clean and responsible. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

We had a wonderful experience with Rob Shaw designing our kitchen.Rob thought of ways to improve the functionality of the kitchen that we would not have he had a great deal of patience as so many decisions have to be made and of course things change as you work on project it all turned out beautifully. I cannot say enough about how happy we are with Kitchen Associates. Everyone has been wonderful to work with, from our designer (Ruth) to the scheduler (Lonnie). They stayed in constant communication with us on every step of the process, providing us with detailed schedules each week. We especially have been impressed with Brian and Colin's skilled and meticulous craftsmanship, not to mention their respectful treatment of our home, and us, during these many weeks. Thank you all for helping to transform this central part of our home--the kitchen--into a place we love!

Our first experience with Kitchen Associates was when we originally built our house in 1981. About a decade later, we did a remodel and expanded our kitchen, again with the help of Kitchen Associates. This past year, we decided to remodel and upgrade our kitchen with design help from Ruth. After several meetings, we came up with our final design. During this entire process, Ruth was patient, gave us good advice, and encouraged us to keep moving ahead when we got discouraged. Not only did she help us choose the cabinets, but she also gave us input on our selection of countertop, appliances, sink, floor and backsplash tiles, and paint colors. She is a great listener and incorporated our many ideas into the final design. The construction phase of the project went as smoothly as possible. The workmen assigned to the project were skilled, polite, and did a great job. They took great care to keep the work space as clean as possible. A special thank-you to Lonnie and Ron who kept the project moving and stepped in as needed. We are thrilled with our new kitchen and now more than ever enjoy cooking for our friends and family!

The quality of the cabinets exceeded our expectations. The installer was meticulous and a skilled craftsman. He was always on time and kept us informed of what he would be doing throughout the process. We are extremely pleased with the design and the finished project.

Kitchen Associates transformed our kitchen! We are thrilled with the result, and very pleased with the process, too. They provided us with options, and good advice. Once the project started, there was noticeable progress every day, with no delays. If we had questions, they had answers. They set up a schedule & kept to it, & kept us informed. The whole group is very knowledgeable, professional, courteous, & helpful. Our kitchen went from cramped to spacious, with great flow, so much more storage, & it looks great!

Great design for a small space. Kitchen Associates was responsive to our concerns and promptly attended to changes we wanted made. Scheduling person was great and on site contractor was very skilled. We are very happy with the end result.

I waited to do this review so that I could say over 1 year after our renovation by kitchen associates, I still LOVE my kitchen and wouldn't change a thing. Jay immediately saw the potential of our space. Living up on a hill with an apple orchard across the way, walls were taken down and we now see our beautiful view. He turned a small kitchen into a larger space , even adding a laundry room adjacent to the kitchen.The layout is perfect and functions well. I had many ideas and Jay was very patient to stear me in the right direction because he had the expertise to know what would work. The cabinets, granite, quartz combination is like looking at art work every day and I'm not the only one that thinks so. People walk into the house and literally say Wow! The granite connects the bar and kitchen area and flows beautifully. It has been great for entertaining and we have had several gatherings since the renovation. It makes entertaining more enjoyable because of the openness of the space. Another important aspect is that the communication was excellent. I never felt I had to chase anyone down and expectations were always met. As you can see, I would highly recommend Kitchen Associates!

Kitchen Associates complete two kitchens for us in the Boston Back Bay. The floor plan, quality of the cabinets and professional installation made the project go smoothly. We would highly recommend them for your project.

When you take on a project such as modernizing a kitchen you really should hire professionals - a firm that knows what they're doing and capable of presenting several options. Fortunately we did just that when we hired Kitchen Associates. Jay from KA visited our house, took measurements discussed a couple of our design preferences and shortly thereafter we had "blueprint" of what could be. Naturally we were overwhelmed with possibilities but got great suggestions and guidance from Jay on things to consider most of which were exciting and within our financial reach. So the planning and decision phase went well - our minds were made up and on to the construction. Product delivery was actually ahead of schedule - a nice surprise. The KA "demolition" crew was in and out quickly, the cabinets expertly installed on time. The coordination with all the associated contractors, plumber, electrician etc. was timed perfectly - an added relief. The long and short of this review is that Jay and his team could not have possibly been more accommodating and easy to work with. Clearly all these guys are professionals and did a great job but beyond that - they are all great people - striving toward customer satisfaction. They complement each and work well with together. We were never left in the dark or the least bit concerned that we made a poor selection with KA. They're really a great team - and I do mean TEAM. I highly recommend them. OH Ya! The end result - Amazing transformation! We're happy!

Recently, I had a kitchen renovation done by Kitchen Associates from Sterling, MA. I have never had more professional and high quality service and work done in my home. They coordinated everything: electrician, plumber, tile flooring, backsplash...... It was a wonderful experience. My kitchen is stunning! I would recommend anyone considering a kitchen project to check them out. I am having them back to build a built in cabinet near my fireplace. I can't wait to see their beautiful work again!

Found Kitchen Associates (KA) via radio ad and visited showroom. Jay Sponenberg was great throughout the process. Collaboratively worked with us to include our ideas, providing a well layed out cabinet design. We had our own installer (DENCO Builders) who was doing kitchen renovation and KA came to house just before and during cabinet install to review design approach taken, provide insight into design, and answer questions. Jay was available for questions throughout process. Kitchen is two tone - washed white and candlelight cherry. Cabinets are beautiful, wood grains and finish stunning. Highly recommend KA as a kitchen design and product provider resource.

It is with pleasure that I share our experience using Kitchen Associates for our renovation. We decided to use them after the many accolades we heard from several friends who had hired them. My husband and I decided not to change the footprint of our kitchen but wanted to use the space we had in the most efficient, updated fashion possible. Their consultant came to our house and developed a plan that exceeded our expectations. His ideas by far were the best of any of the other designers we contacted. His professional manner, accessibility and follow-through were commendable. The Kitchen Associates showroom has more fully designed kitchens to walk through than any in the area and our consultant was so knowledgeable and helped us to pick out the cabinets and hardware. Then we were contacted by the Kitchen Associates scheduler who coordinated all of the vendors we used so the progression of the renovation kept on moving. The demolition team and the project manager showed up when they were supposed to and were friendly, skilled, and tidy. When we realized some of the cabinets or doors were damaged the problem was dealt with immediately. Most people have heard of kitchen renovations that have been difficult but I can honestly say that the parts that Kitchen Associates were responsible for made the experience very positive. Jay and the others all stood behind their promises and work.

Kitchen Associates has redesigned and remodeled our kitchen a year ago and has redesigned and remodeled our upstairs master bathroom and part of our guest bathroom this year. Their design and workmanship have exceeded expectations each time. The care of their craftsmen as well as their subcontractors (plumbing, electrical, flooring, and tiling) has been as impressive as their skills. Moreover, they have been honorable.

We had called Jay at Kitchen Associates on the recommendation of a home builder. I liked Jay's enthusiasm right away. Giving us added design suggestions to the already laid out plan. After getting two other quotes we were glad that Jay was the best price on the project. On the first day of demolition Yordee, Tim and Ron got right to work putting up poly barriers to keep the dust to a minimum throughout the house. All are very friendly, personable and informative. They proceeded to completely gut the old kitchen, tear down a 3/4 wall, remove a closet, remove and re-fit a bigger window. Working with Jay was great. He was always available by phone, text or email. Kept appointments for visits to his showroom without a flaw. We were given Ron's (the Foreman) cell phone number for any concerns we had and these were addressed immediately. Yordee and Tim were a pleasure to have in our home and work with. On most days Yordee was there and my wife and I got to know him well. On Saturdays we would usually have lunch together. He is, in our eyes, a gem. All were great in working and scheduling with my plumbing and flooring contractors. Though Jay offered his plumber I had been working with my own plumber for years, which was no problem for him. As the new kitchen came together my wife and I were elated with the progress every day we got home from work. And the final result is just fantastic. Our friends and family are very impressed with new kitchen and comment on it every time they visit. And, the only downside to the whole project is that we don't get to see the guys anymore.

Having lived in Sterling, MA several years ago, my wife and I were quite familiar with Kitchen Associates on Route 12 in Sterling. We had visited their extensive showroom on several occasions and said, "Some day...." Well, "some day" came when we bought a home in late 2012 that was in need of a serious upgrade. The kitchen was dark and outdated and we both wanted a kitchen that was bright in tone, well-lit, well-designed, and functional as we both enjoy cooking and hosting. We turned to Kitchen Associates to give us our dream kitchen and we were not disappointed. Jay Sponenberg and his staff were not only able to explain the many options available but show us those options in their 2-story showroom(s). After sifting through the possibilities, my wife and I made our choices and KA made it happen. New cabinets and counter-tops as well as some re-designing and voila! Our kitchen was transformed from dark and tired to bright and fresh. The entire process was painless and KA was prompt and punctual in every instance. We not only got the 5-star kitchen we were hoping for, we got a 5-star effort from Kitchen Associates and I can't recommend them enough. Well done.

Rob Shaw, Kitchen Associates, Inc of Sterling, MA was fantastic to work with during our recent kitchen remodeling project. We were adding a few new cabinets to match our existing set, granite counter tops and a few new shelving inserts. Rob came out to verify the measurements, updated the floor plan, always prompt responding to email questions and calls, and very professional. Making this part of our remodeling run smoothly.

I can't wait to have another project done by this company. They are wonderful. On time, the staff and installer are just Wonderful. I've told everyone about them so that in the future if they are planning to remodel that they choose Kitchen Associates. I've had repeated complements on my kitchen counter and sink installation. I'm so Happy.

Earlier this year Kitchen Associates completed work on our kitchen and bathroom. I can't say enough about the product (Brookhaven cabinets) and the quality of the work and the people who performed the work. Great place!
