We recently hired Gary for our basement finishing project after our designer recommended him. She referrers to him as "the unicorn" because he truly is in a class by himself when it comes to contractors. We interviewed several other contractors before hiring Gary and I can say with confidence that Gary's level of skill, creativity, and professionalism are not easy to find. Also, he has access to great subcontractors and gets the best out of them. Our project has been done for a couple months now and we continue to be thrilled with the results. All the attention to detail and careful planning are evident throughout. Gary Krause has done several jobs for us, and we are hoping to convince him to do more. He is thorough, responsive, and delivers on what he promises. All jobs have hiccups so it's good to have an even-keel personality like his to help get through them. He has decades of experience under his belt, and he is also very creative so I trust his design ideas/suggestions.

When we first met Gary, our first impression is that he is very professional and arrives on time. He patiently answered all of our questions and gave us good solid advice. When he doesn't think it is right, he tells you. During the construction, he is always on-time, cleans up his work area, and minimizes the impact on us as much as possible. We are so glad that we picked Gary! Our kitchen looks amazing, and our kitchen/dining room area is so much better than before. After a year, I'm still thrilled with how it turned out. We live in a 1906 Denver square with original woodwork. Krause Construction (Gary) completely renovated our kitchen to the studs, opening it up to the dining room. While the footprint of the house is unchanged we resized windows, moved doors and took out part of the wall between the kitchen and dining room. The back door is now French doors from an expanded deck into the dining room. Gary matched the original woodwork on the new windows, the outside bricks and floors throughout the first floor. We are completely thrilled with the results and his attention to details. The quality and design are amazing and make working in the kitchen a joy. This was our first construction project. We met all the subcontractors when they met with Gary to bid their part. We had a line item budget with suggested vendors and a detailed timeline. Gary protected the rest of the house and cleaned up at the end of the day. He was extremely professional and so easy to work with explaining things as the work progressed. We recommend Krause Construction without reservation. Our project was on time, on budget and transformed our house.

We have used Gary on two separate projects over the years and have been really impressed with his organisation and professionalism and strong determination to make sure he does a good job. He is personally involved with every step and has assembled a bunch of subs who share his values and are easy to work with. Both projects were on budget, on time, and he often went the extra mile in searching for solutions and materials that we needed.

Gary's company, Kraus Construction, was recommended to us by our designer on a kitchen and bathroom remodel project in the basement of our 1890's row home in the Highlands. We could not have been happier with Gary and the work he did for us. One of the surprises for us, having not done such a project before, was how much of the work Gary did himself ... because he cares so much about the quality of work that he does. We were also thrilled with the sub-contractors he brought in: electrical, plumbing, painting, tile, etc. They were all exceptional. Gary was easy to work with, explained his reasons for doing things a certain way, was always respectful, made sure the project site was kept as neat as possible, and went the extra mile to assure we were happy with his work. We continue to be extraordinarily happy with the results of the project, and our friends have been blown away about how great the remodel is ... and some of them, who have worked with contractors in the past, are amazed at just how happy we have been with Gary and his company.

I had a great experience with Gary and his subcontractors. I was introduced to Gary by a friend whose house he remodeled. I'm so glad I did because he did a fantastic job. Over the years, Gary Krause has completed a number of projects in our almost 30 year old home. He finished a basement library and computer room, remodeled a fireplace and entertainment center in our living room and remodeled a master bath shower. Most recently. Gary found a solution to a leaking interior drain system, He has resealed a patterned concrete drive a number of times. Gary is a professional and competent contractor who provides detailed estimates for his work and completes his jobs on time.
