Thrilled to share our incredible experience with LA Design Build during our full gut remodel of our 3-bedroom penthouse condo! Armin and his team were phenomenal partners throughout the project. Their attention to detail and commitment to excellence truly stood out. Armin's expertise in design was invaluable, and he went above and beyond, even managing to navigate the challenges of relocating utilities to maximize space - no easy feat in a condo setting! Additionally, Armin skillfully handled all the HOA rules and regulations, ensuring a smooth process from start to finish. We found Armin’s LA Design Build (LADB) after seeing an example of their work. We reached out to LADB for a consultation and were immediately impressed with their Project Manager (PM), Ricardo Sepulveda, who became our consistent point of contact thru the entire process. As a design-build general contractor, LADB takes care of the design, purchasing, and building as a one-stop shop. This avoids substantial lead time and handoff issues compared to hiring an interior designer and a general contractor separately. After listening to our input from the initial consultation, LADB provided a detailed itemized scope of work break down, including their recommended manufacturer and product lines, quantity, as well as associated labor and material cost. This is great, because then we as the owners know what to expect and avoid the risk of being substituted sub-standard products. After we had LADB on board, we provided Pinterest mood boards to Armin and his team so they can provide their design together based off our input and concurrently they procured all the necessary city permits and put a package together for us to obtain HOA approval. Armin & Ricardo then provided us physical material samples for us to select from. Given there are many different material manufacturers and product lines on the market, it was priceless to have Armin guide us in selecting materials that not only aligned with our vision, but also of great quality without breaking the bank. Once construction began, Ricardo, our PM provided weekly project status updates - we corresponded mainly over email, but also over phone or text as needed. Essentially once the design, which honestly didn’t take very long, was set, my husband and I were hands off. It was reassuring to know we had a great PM and team who have it handled. An example of their attention to detail was when they taped all of the tile grout lines for our review, input, and approval. You can tell that they take pride in their craft. While there were a few unforeseen conditions that came up, there wasn’t anything LADB couldn’t resolve or find a solution for. The whole process was super smooth even though our entire project was during COVID. While I’m sure LADB must have had other projects going on, their team is so on top of things and we were treated so well, we felt like we were their only clients. While Ricardo was our day-to-day contact, Armin would come in from time to time and provide the most amazing input. For example, we were struggling whether to switch our silver-colored plumbing and hardware fixtures to matte black or not, as the existing metal stair was silver. When Armin suggested to paint the stairs black, my husband and I were instantly sold. And gosh, I have to say, what was a sad rusty silver metal stair is now the STAR of our loft – the matte black stair looks KILLER. We are so happy we went with LA Design Build. They made our dream loft beyond what we imagined could be possible.

Working with LA DESIGN BUILD was one of the best decisions my husband and I made, we were referred to Armin Missaghi and his team by our neighbor which had completed their modern home and we had the best construction experience I could ask for. the house had a few issues which were not anticipated and LADB took care of them without delays and with a fair and transparent budget. we've already recommended LA DESIGN BUILD to our friends and family and had our house showed to a few of his new clients recently.

Honestly, I was extremely skeptical of the whole process in the beginning because I've had my fair share of inflated quotes and false promises from other contractors. However, I went with Armin through recommendation from my best friend who just had his whole house redone through Armin's company. And let me just say...from the get go...Armin came in, took a look, listened to our requests and asked questions to ensure he understood what we wanted -- all within 15 minutes! He even gave us a rough estimate then and there. Oh my. How efficient! So, we proceed with the project and Armin stayed in contact regularly, gave his insight and made sure we were happy with every step of the way. I cannot be any happier with my new kitchen. I highly recommend LA Design Build to anyone who is unsure, have been somewhat manipulated and played by other contractors and feel leery of the whole process, or simply just on a budget...Armin is your guy! I hired LA Design build to remodel my entire house recently and I couldn't be happier to work with such a professional company, they were really organized and efficient with time and the paid great attention to detail to finish small stuff the last few days, they completed my entire project which was total kitchen and 3 bathroom and entire house flooring and windows and doors in 26 days which I was shocked and really surprise that they finished sooner than they promised! I would highly recommend this company to all my friends and family.

LA Design Build was engaged to refurbish our Master & guest bathrooms. We had a clear idea about what we wanted, but they had excellent ideas about how it could be done better. Issues in the rebuild were easily handled by LA Design Build designers. In the end, we have an excellent end result. Yay!

This is my first Houzz review and it's a good one. LA Design wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive contractor, but in my opinion they are the BEST! The remodel job they did on our kitchen was fantastic and, better yet, on-time and slightly under-budget! That's something I NEVER thought I'd see! The craftsmanship that their people displayed, and the finished project that is just about perfect, made me finally decide to go online and try out one of these review websites. My new kitchen looks better than I ever expected, it really does! I'm very pleased to tell everyone here on the world wide internet that they are wonderful!
