Lake Country Builders

LCB was highly recommended to us but sadly, we were not one of the fortunate ones to have had a good experience. We came to them needing help revising a floor plan from another builder that would have been too big and costly to build. We were completely transparent about how much we wanted to spend on this property and were advised by LCB what size and features could be changed to bring us within that budget. We spent 4 months and tens of thousands of dollars with them only to be presented with a revised design that was the size they suggested but 45% OVER what they had told us they could build it for. Their explanation was that they don't control material costs. But they recommended the size and drew the plan so *that* was entirely within their control. No accountability. No apology for wasting our time and money. We walked away with only a design of a house we could not build. In retrospect, my advice for others would be to negotiate into the Design Agreement that the plan you pay to have created, must meet your budget within 5% (or whatever) or your design fees are refunded.

From start to finish, Lake Country Builders handled our main floor remodel with professionalism and care. The team is comprised of talented and knowledgable professionals, who guided our vision into reality. Throughout the process, they (and their subcontractors) were always conscientious they were in our home and understood the stressors of living through the remodel. Communication, with the many moving parts, was clear and timely. They were effective problem solvers, creative thinkers and simply put, wonderful people to be around. The project ended ahead of the scheduled timeline and we were able to use our kitchen almost a month before planned. Impressive, to say the least. Lake Country Builders has our highest recommendation. It was an exceptional experience with an exceptional final result.

We worked with Lake Country Builders to do a major renovation on our home. They made some major architectural changes to our main level to make it open and bright. They also created a wine room out of a space that we could never quite figure out how to use. It is now a centerpiece to our home. Their craftsmanship was second to none. Everyone who worked on the project - plumbers, electricians, heating and cooling, flooring and interior design - were at the top of their professional game. True craftsmanship and professionals to work with! We recently supplied new Pella Reserve windows for one of their remodel projects for a home built in 1966. It was a challenging window replacement, however their carpentry team did a phenomenal job installing the new Pella windows, creating interior and exterior custom trim details to match with the historic look of the home.
