Lapis Ray Interior Design

Carrie did a wonderful job in helping me select carpets, furniture, fabrics, etc., for our remodeling project. Because my husband is not well and can't be left, she was very helpful in bringing samples to me (multiple times, in fact). She always presented the samples/selections in such a way so that I could visualize how everything would look together. Carrie has great ideas but is also a great listener whenever I would suggest something. She is a true professional and very easy to work with!

Carrie designed several of the most beautiful rooms I have ever seen in our home. Paint, wallpaper, pictures, furniture, drapes, lamps and mirrors came together in ways that my wife and I could never have imagined. I highly recommend her work. You should ask Carrie to see the pictures of her project at our home….you will want to work with her.

Carrie at Lapis Ray saved me. My family bought a dated 1940's house and only had 7 weeks to remodel it and reconstruct the entire basement before moving in. I had no idea where to begin. Luckily, I found Carrie with Lapis Ray on Houzz and knew we would make a great team. Carrie helped to manage all aspects of this huge project including; finding multiple contractors to interview and give proposals, liaised with general contractor and sub contractors, helped in remodeling of basement, kitchen, bathrooms, worked together to come up with entire house color story, presented many options for furniture, fabrics, accessories, lighting, carpet, flooring, window treatments....basically touched every room in the house before it was over. There are many set backs that come with redoing an older home, but she was there to help the whole way through. Even going above and beyond her call of duty during our crazy moving process. I would recommend Lapis Ray to my family and friends and have. She is a huge reason why we love this house so much and so does everyone who comes here. In fact, we continue to use Lapis Ray for other projects.

I had a great experience with Lapis Ray. Carrie Miller was great at hearing my needs for the space and turning that into a vision. She is very professional and responsive. She is creative and sees things with color and space that really made my (small) condo beautiful, warm, welcoming, while still having personality. I am so glad I worked with her on colors and furniture and hope to be able to work with her again in the future.

Carrie was excellent about providing choices that matched the style I was looking for at my residence, and did all the work to coordinate with contractors. I have been working with Carrie, Lapis Ray owner, for just over a year. She has worked on several rooms in my house and has provided counsel in a variety of design areas. Carrie is outstanding! She is knowledgeable and has a great design sense but she is not overbearing and allows me to express my own design sensibilities. The result has been beautifully designed and appointed rooms that reflect my style and look authentic. From a business perspective, Carrie could not be better. She communicates well and often, keeps me informed of the schedule and any changes/problems, follows through with commitments, and finds/negotiates/schedules/deals with all of the contractors for me. I could not be more pleased with Carrie and Lapis Ray and would recommend them to anyone.

Carrie did an amazing job on my house and was so much fun to work with! She did my family room, office, my bedroom, and my daughter's bedroom. She has a great eye for mixing old with new (which I love) and was great at incorporating some of my existing pieces. My only regret is that when we were first working together I was insistent on some pieces that she wasn't crazy about. She was right (the scale of the dresser and bedroom console were off - just to name one of my misssteps), and I should have just let go and trusted her. Still, she found a way to beautify my bedroom. I let go and gave her free reign in my daughter's room and she created the most beautiful room imaginable (see pics on her page). My family room is elegant yet cozy and kid friendly, bright and beautiful. If only my daughter hadn't spilled an orange italian ice on the ouch- haha! Lapis Ray was hired to decorate our new home. The lead designer, Carrie Miller was quite simply brilliant. She took consensus of our desires and likes, and was given full charge to decorate as she saw fit. Lapis Ray was given a tight deadline of Christmas, as we planned to entertain family in our new home. Despite some delays with providers, she was able to pull off the deadline, working hard herself, hanging lamps - and repositioning a few items that I wanted a different placement. Most of all, the creative eye of Lapis Ray came through, making our house a masterpiece of modern design and comfort. Our family and neighbors are very complimentary of the style as well - so much that we are continually asked to host events in groups that we belong to . My biggest (secret) joy, was when we had the former home owners here for a book club meeting. I could tell that they were very impressed at the improvements in design and style. Feeling very modern and stylish....:-)

Carrie with Lapis Ray was amazing to work with. She designed my mater and guest bedrooms and was really able to zero right in to my design esthetic and was able to key in on my wants and needs. She worked within my budget and was accommodating to all of my design requirements.I had an absolutely great experience working with her and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for an interior decorator.

In the last 5 years Carrie Miller has designed 5 bathrooms, including our master bathroom, our kitchen, outdoor patio, mudroom, family room, basement. Currently we are updating our master bedroom. Carrie was able to accurately discover our taste and style and she knows how to choose colors, fabrics, cabinets, tile, and furniture that fit our home and our life style. We are very happy with every project she has taken on in our home. I would highly recommend Carrie. She is professional and I truly enjoy working with Carrie.
