Thank you, Bill Laplante, for the outstanding job you and the Laplante Construction team did for us in building our magnificent new home. The meetings with you were instrumental in preparing us to move forward with confidence. We knew in our very first meeting that if we were to build, there was no need to talk with any one else – there would be no one better than Laplante Construction to lead us on the journey. Everyone we dealt with from Laplante Construction (and the sub-contractors) demonstrated the things we came to appreciate in meeting and working with you, Bill: hard work, commitment, expertise, and a level of integrity that is unsurpassed in this or any other type of work. We very much appreciated things like the initial and revised drawings that were produced by Paul Laplante, the important input along the way from Ray Laplante, the day-to-day project management handled so masterfully by Rich Walz, and the excellent workmanship provided by all the Laplante Team members on the job site each day. The result is a spectacular home that is of tremendous quality, the perfect balance between elegance and simplicity, and one that carries the weight and integrity of a house that was built in a different era, perhaps 100+ years ago. But at the same time, you also managed to make it feel light and comfortable, with an understated elegance that comes together with a peaceful flow. When you add all the modern accommodations and special touches to the design, materials, and workmanship, the whole becomes so much more than the sum of its unique parts. In short, Les and I are amazed that EVERYTHING we look at is truly beautiful. We also appreciated your introducing us to Jenn Champigny, as she was an incredibly talented design and plan consultant who added so much to the project. Jenn is one-of-a-kind: exceptionally talented, stylish, aware of all possibilities given her impressive accomplishments, and so much fun to work with. Her many contributions were also very important to us. Your leadership as President of Laplante Construction is certainly what makes working with the whole Team such a very special experience, Bill. Someone from LaPlante (I don’t want to name names on a public forum) came to our house to bid on a project. He arrived randomly, after confirming day but not time (we double checked the emails), which was fine since we were both home. Within minutes he dismissed our project as too expensive without offering any alternatives. He did not even ask about our budget. We bought this house significantly under our budget because we loved the neighborhood and had a sizable cash budget. We are not new to renovations and were open to alternatives if our vision was not doable due to structure. He wrongly assumed we would be living in the home while the renovation was happening (I’m from the area and we were going to move in with my family temporarily) and even asked at one point if he was being a smarta**, which felt extremely unprofessional. I left the meeting and went back to work as I felt I was being talked down to. The advice he did give that was helpful was to have an architect draw up the plans, then he listed other contractors to contact (many of whom had already bid on this project without issue). He then said he would contact us with information about the architect they typically use, but no surprise, we never heard from him again. This interaction still bothers me, mostly because it appears he made a lot of assumptions about us and I’m not sure where he gathered that information. Also, having worked with great contractors in the past, you want someone to be excited and have vision for the project. These guys have a great reputation in Longmeadow so I’m hoping this isn’t usually how they interact with people.

A wonderful experience! They handled our project beautigfully, it came out better than expected. They remodeled the exterior of our home and also remodeled our foyer. We put in a few new windows, new garage doors, new front doors, roof, siding and stone work. We Aldo had some painting done. Easy to deal with and very accommodating. We would use them again. Rich Gale is a wonderful person to deal with. We are very happy with the looks of our home! I recommend them to anybody.

We are very pleased with Laplante Construction. They built a new home for us and the process couldn't have been any smoother. Bill and his team are focused on every detail, large or small. The process was even enjoyable. We've received many complements on the style and craftsmanship of our home. This was our one and only experience having a home built for us and we had several special considerations that were wisely addressed by Bill Laplante and his staff. We started with a picture and plans of a home we saw in the newspaper, shared our needs and desires with them and finalized detailed plans that were exciting and better than even our initial thoughts or dreams. We were more than thrilled with both the process and the outcome. Laplante Construction shared their priority decision making process with us, shared recommendations when asked and did a superb job for us. When completed our home was nicer than we could have imaged. We have lived here now eight years and recently when an elderly friend accidently damaged a wall Laplante Construction repaired it so there is no sign of the concern. Bill Laplante made this experience a pleasure and we enthusiatically recommend Laplante Construction to anyone building a home. He spoiled us and exceeded our wildest expectations!

From build time to workmanship everything associated with the project exceeded my expectations. All employees and sub contractors work well together.

We engaged Laplante Construction to build our home and most recently to add space to our home. Laplante made our home building experience enjoyable by listening and accommodating our needs. He and all his subcontractors were dependable, reliable and ethical while my husband and I were often out of the area on business during the build phase. It’s apparent the subcontractors Laplante chooses take tremendous pride in their work. We are extremely pleased with our home and would build with Laplante Construction again.

The Laplante Construction team is top notch. Every project they complete is impeccable down to the smallest detail. Bill and Ray are both great people and great to work with as well.
