Larry Klaybor showed professionalism,integrity,consistently setting very high standards, keeping focused on what the client ( I ) wanted in the house plan & what type of home. Listens carefully to any changes that I requested, making sure they were carried out to the fullness. The quality of work was supreme meet all deadlines and stayed within the budget. I would like to give a posthumous thanks to Larry abilities to designed a home, that I will always will be proud to announce Klaybor & Associates, Inc , designed my home.

Larry and Jason were very efficient and helpful during my planing process. Gave us everything we wanted and gave us great input. I will use them again if we build another home.

Tough project. Larry and his team nailed our design. We had some very difficult constraints, and several late projects changes for our waterfront custom home, but Klaybor & Assoc. worked with us and our builder, to make sure our dreams would become a reality . Absolutely a sad experience with Larry Klaybor. When we initially choose Klaybor we had interviewed 6 others and choose Klaybor even though he was one of the most expensive because he seemed to become really vested in the project during our interview. We had already drawn up about 50% of our plan but we needed a professional to get us to the finish line, to polish our house and make it great, Larry said he could do that. Excited to see his first rendering we open that initial email and to be quite honest we were shocked. It was so disappointing to see the house he had drawn. He literally decided to design the side entrance (the entrance from our future detached garage) to open up into a mud room. Yeah I know, what is wrong with that...nothing, but from there the only way you could walk was into the office and through to the other side to a door which then went into the kitchen. Seriously? But that was only part of the problem. When we explained that we didn't like that idea he honestly became offended and from that point forward seemed bothered or insulted that we even questioned him. The entire process was brutal. I pretty much drew up the plan and he would put it into the computer exactly how I gave it to him. Then when we saw corrections he would get upset. This continued for several moths and I could go on with more examples of the grueling process. Klaybor will defend himself and say it was us who kept changing the plans (which is what he told us was going on with another one of his clients) and yes we did, we made about 7 or 8 changes during the planning, but this wouldn't have happened if it was a true archietect/designer would have been actually invested in the job as opposed to getting a check. I terminated our contract with Klaybor and Associates and will find another company to finish our plans because it is our house and we believe it should be done correct which is not the beliefs of this architect. I Obviously I would highly urge anyone looking for an architect to pass on Klaybor and Associates.

Larry was very professional and beyond just helpful. He even visited the project site at our request even though there was no real requirement to do so. His suggestions on the remodel were outstanding. The project cost total will be approximately $200K, but Larry's portion was about $3500. I highly recommend his firm to anyone.

I'm a registered architect and Klaybor & Associates provides excellent design and AutoCAD drafting of residential and light commercial projects. It has been my privledge to collaborate with them on projects that I initiate and projects that they initiate.
