Laura was an absolute delight to work with. She was professional, efficient and thoughtful throughout the process. Guiding us through decisions without ever letting us get overwhelmed. She was able to translate the scattered (and often divergent) ideas my husband and I had into a design that was beautiful and functional for our family. I was hesitant to bring in a designer and worried the house would feel too impersonal or be impractical for life with young children, but Laura managed to deliver a design that felt organic and comfortable (if elevated). She incorporated our artwork and photos, made decisions for furnishings and accessories that would be durable with two little boys, and has designed a home that is always ready for company or a gaggle of toddlers.

I've been hesitant in writing a review simply because I fear the 'Laura Hodges' secret will get out!! I happened upon Laura by chance when running past her new and beautiful store front in Catonsville. How serendipitous! We engaged Laura for a project to design our living room (music room) and dining room. From the beginning, it was apparent that Laura has an incredible gift. She has an unwavering commitment to her customers, she is gracious, confident, kind, and crazy smart. I felt supported through the entire process. She was patient and thorough and always listened to me intently (and was therefore able to provide different recommendations based on my feedback). I truly CANNOT wait to work with her again!

I would highly recommend Laura. We are exceptionally happy with how everything turned out. She helped us decorate the entire main floor of our house, an upstairs living room, and she helped us convert a bedroom into a home office. We came to Laura pictures of a rather eclectic mix of art, furniture, and accessories that we liked. She somehow managed to incorporate all them into her design and it came together beautifully.!

Laura Hodges Studio has curated an amazing collection of items that fit our style, personality, and budget. While the most recent project was completed in May 2019, we have been clients since 2016- continuously thankful that we have a creative, responsive, and kind design team helping us make our house into a home.

Laura brought a professional approach and great insight together to turn our home into a functional and aesthetically-pleasing place to live. She skillfully redesigned rooms to serve multiple functions to accommodate a growing family in a small row-home space while still considering all the needs of each family member (including the pet rabbit!). Since my husband and I have rather different taste, she showed great skill at blending these varied styles into one room and still maintaining the character of our historic home. Laura was also respectful of our time and budget. She was able to recommend budget-friendly yet durable furnishings while still incorporating our current pieces. And her organized communication made purchasing so easy! Additionally, Laura was extremely helpful in drawing up designs for us to custom-build items wherever possible, which allowed us to stretch our dollar even more. And when there were projects that were beyond our skillset, she went above and beyond and vetted several contractors in our price range to ensure we received quality craftsmanship. And I feel like it goes without saying that she was always punctual and very flexible with schedule changes and availability. She was a dream to work with, and I'm so grateful to have had her help with our project. It made transforming our house into a home a pleasure.

Laura was fantastic to work with! A friend had recommended her as I was looking for someone to help me make my house feel like my home. I needed someone with a great design eye to add finishing touches, revamp my current style and that is exactly what Laura did. I just loved her work. I still do. She truly understood what I wanted and needed in my home. The colors she picked were what my house needed. From a frumpy not too appealing looking home to MANY praises and compliments on the color, the feeling, and over all look in my home. Her ability to understand my budget and her knowledge of my needs were impeccable. I still need to do my kitchen and she will be the one I look to for this big over haul project. Laura is an amazing designer to work with, she completely transformed my spaces into something I always wanted but could never quite conceptualize or even begin to imagine. She has a great communication skills, is exceedingly organized and I really loved how she has the ability to incorporate the beautiful, practical and everyday life into her gorgeous designs. I recommend her to everyone with great success and will always use her for all projects due to her diverse and excellent style!

Laura was a fabulous help with our interior design needs. She heard my design ideas, which really didn't fit into the layout of our house, and was able to create ideas that did work while incorporating things I wanted. Laura's ideas were "out of the box" and certainly my untrained eye couldn't realize. I look forward to taking these suggestions and from concept to reality and I will definitely call on Laura for my interior needs in the future.

Laura is amazing! My husband and I worked with her over the last 6 months to furnish our entire first floor in our new Canton row home.
