We worked with Levi and his team at Gladius Construction & Design to remodel our kitchen. They were able to complete the project within our relatively tight time and budget requirements and did a fantastic job. The folks at Gladius and their subcontractors did their best to minimize their impact during the remodel, which really helped as my partner and I both work from home. Contact from Levi and his team was always quick and extensive -- we even went through a whole checklist with Levi to double-check that each new fixture or piece of equipment we purchased would fit with the new design. We worked with Gladius Construction & Design to renovate our primary bathroom. Levi was fantastic in all aspects of the job. Levi and Gladius went above and beyond with their communication. Our construction manager was Mike and he was great to work with. Every person who came to work in our home was extremely professional. They were even friendly with our two dogs which was a bonus. We worked with Levi at Gladius Construction for a full renovation of our very out-of-date kitchen in our newly purchased home. He partnered us with Inside Design Co to design a fully customized kitchen and bar area. The results were everything we could have hoped for. He and his team completed the project that included new floors, interior paint, new countertop configuration, beautiful lighting, backsplash, and cabinets. He and his crew were timely, professional, and clean. Levi was in communication with us throughout the project and stayed in budget and on schedule. We would highly recommend Levi and Gladius Construction.

We recently completed a full kitchen remodel and floor replacement for the entire first level of our house. We had already found a cabinet designer through friends, and were given a list of several GCs to manage the project and handle everything else. Levi Morgan was on that list and one of several we interviewed. We went with him because we liked his enthusiasm and believed he was the right guy for us. Throughout the project Levi was incredibly transparent. He was on top of all communication, upfront with minor unforeseeable things that popped up along the way, like leaking water valves that were exposed during the process, or kitchen vents that needed to be moved because the hood we selected was too tall to use the existing one. He handled the work and did not mark up the labor on the change orders to deal with these issues. He routinely shared invoices from his subs to show what things cost. It is important to have realistic expectations when taking on large remodel projects. Stuff is going to happen, and when it did, we appreciated how he handled it. One thing that struck us was that all of the subcontractors he brought into our house to work were so ridiculously polite. I commented to him often that I didn't know where he kept finding all these nice people to do the work. The painters went way above and beyond, as did other workers who I saw do lots of little things that most people might miss or never appreciate, just because they wanted to do something right. He also did a great job making sure that the pace of work was as swift as it could be, there were really no long down times in between tasks. The project took about 3 months, which is in line with the expectations we had set from the start. Levi is OCD in the right way, we agonized together over small details like where light fixtures should hang, how far apart they should be, etc. He really wanted the project to come out perfect and be something we would all be proud of. Now that it's done, I can say we definitely are. Our entire house is transformed and we are 100% happy.

Working with Levi Morgan of Gladius Construction was a miserable and unprofessional experience. In short, the job cost 33% more than quoted, took 10 months longer, the quality of work and material were frequently compromised, and our house was flooded. Levi has very little knowledge of construction techniques, which severely affected his ability to coordinate subcontractors or drive accountability. He rarely oversaw or inspected his subcontractors' work, creating conflicts between trades and leaving glaring oversights in workmanship and quality. He frequently fought with us, defending poor quality without even inspecting it. Nearly every aspect of the job required my intervention. Toward the end I worked directly with subs and saved my time and frustration trying to coordinate with Levi at all. Levi’s attitude was unprofessional and erratic. On multiple occasions he hung up the phone, or yelled, and for days at a time would not answer any phone calls. Gladius is advertised as a “design-build” firm, yet we still suffered several build conflicts which required costly custom solutions due to lack of foresight. The job was quoted to be a 4-6 month project, but ultimately took 14 months to complete. To Levi’s credit he did, ultimately, achieve city inspection and occupancy sign-off. But even then, some work was left incomplete, door and cabinet hardware, thresholds, baseboards. Levi made no effort to keep financial records during the build. He frequently requested more money, but could rarely pinpoint what exactly I was paying for and often contradicted himself. One example, we paid a variance of more than two-thousand dollars to upgrade our main electrical service box, but the electrician determined it did not need upgrade and did not change it. Levi would not refund the variance payment. He revealed that he had taken a personal loan to keep the company afloat and used his financial duress as an excuse for delays and poor quality. At the close of the work, he claimed that he had paid sixty-thousand dollars of his own money to complete our job, but refused to produce any records to substantiate the claim. Beyond being inaccurate, the original quote from Gladius had large gaps. It completely omitted insulation in the walls and ceiling. It did not include tree protection or termite mesh on drains which were required by the city. All of which we then paid additionally. The worst part was when our house flooded because the partially integrated roof was not waterproof. There was already a roof-tarp onsite which should have been installed prior, but was not. We had to bail water in the middle of the night, had to rip up floor boards and drywall, then lived with deafening industrial fans and dehumidifiers running in the house 24/7 for 2 weeks. It then took 4 months to close with insurance. To Levi's credit, he was insured. I would not recommend Levi or Gladius Construction.

Levi was so wonderful to work with. We had never done a remodel and he took time to understand our project to guide us and lead us in the right direction from the start. He connected is with all the right people and was always honest, transparent and professional. He understood our budget was very upfront about what he could and couldn’t do with what we had. We are very thankful for everything he did for us, really going above and beyond to ensure that pur project was a success.

We had a wonderful experience with Gladius! Levi kept us updated every step of the way and made things work within our schedule. We had a poor experience with a contractor in the past so it was quite refreshing working with someone who made sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. Levi holds his guys to a high quality standard and that is so appreciated it. Our new bathroom is absolutely beautiful! We will definitely be contacting Levi/Gladius for any further contracting needs.

I hired Gladius Construction to remodel the living areas of my twenty-year-old townhome in February 2021. My project included creating a design, gutting much of the old space, moving and removing walls, and installing new floors, cabinetry, counters, and built-ins. We hired Gladius to demo and replace the back door in our home. Levi was amazing to work with and provided us with all our options from the start, all while being super timely and responsive as we planned our the project. Even when the door supplier had delays, Levi made sure to keep us updated so we never had to worry about reaching out for information. The install went smoothly and the whole team was super friendly and respectful of our home (did a thorough clean up too!) - the new door fits perfectly and you'd never know we had it replaced with how well it matches the interior and exterior of our home, including the challenge of matching the stucco! Would highly recommend Gladius for any project and would hire them again for any future work on our home!
