Silver Mountain Design

Liana is GREAT!! We built a house in Colorado while living 800 miles away - not easy. She did a wonderful design and helped with a thousand details when we couldn't be there. We are very grateful. She has a cute German accent too - but claims she doesn't speak German - GO FIGURE??

We interviewed a number of architects to design our Ridgway home before selecting Liana Schmidt. We are so glad we selected Liana. We felt she really listened to us and understood both the style and layout we had in mind. We were quite pleased with plans she developed for us. Both the floor plan and the style were just what we wanted. Liana was truly a delight to work with. She was open to ideas from us as well as our contractor. Liana is wonderful, and we highly recommend her. John and Kathy Mollett

Liana is simply AMAZING! She transformed an existing design we provided her into the beautiful home we now own. Liana had to make modifications to comply with our CC Rs and was extremely patient with my husband during the design process. He insisted on a plain "box on a box" structure; but thankfully Liana tactfully introduced her creative ideas used her design expertise to win him over. Thank you! Thank you, Liana! We absolutely love our home AND thanks to her, we came in well under budget! We highly recommend Liana, Silver Mountain Design. Her professionalism, knowledge, work quality and ability to meet deadlines and budget is unsurpassed!

Liana did a wonderful job designing our house. She provided lots of great ideas and collaborated well with our ideas. She was always available during the construction process to work with us and the builder when site issues provided problems. We ended up with a beautiful home that blends nicely with the mountain setting and environment. She was a joy to work with!

We hired Liana Schmidt of Silver Mountain Design to design a new home for us (a modestly sized primary home with high-quality finishes). We selected her on the recommendation of our builder, Dickerson Construction, Inc (DCI) and a very positive initial meeting. Working with Liana and DCI as a team has worked really well for our project and helped streamline the design and budgeting process. We started with giving Liana a list of our wants/needs for a new home and she came back with two initial concepts, both of which we liked a lot. We selected one of the concepts as the basis for our design, with her initial sketches getting very close to the final design we used for our architectural plans. We were very happy with how quickly Liana took our ideas and created a home that is a perfect fit for our land and lifestyle. She listened to our goals, understood our budget constraints, and came up with a lot of creative solutions. Liana also brings extensive knowledge of the local community and environment to our project, which we think helped improve our final design. In creating the final plans, she was responsive in integrating our feedback throughout the process and proved to be a good problem-solver along the way. We feel lucky to have found Liana to design our home and offer our highest recommendation for her services. Every time we look at our plans and see our house coming together, we are excited about the design she created for us.

Liana did a fabulous job helping us design our new home. She's very patient and kind, she also has a lot of experience since she has built several homes in the area. Since we lived out of state she really helped us out by stopping by construction several times to let us know the progress of the build. We always recommend her to acquaintances if they're looking for an excellent architect.
